Wow. This "hole in the wall" takeout restaurant has fabulous food! A steady stream of regulars were coming in as I was eating my meal. It's located next to an auto body shop so you have damaged cars everywhere outside 😂. Don't let the cars keep you away. Kevin, the owner is a very nice and friendly guy. He loves what he does and is dedicated to making great BBQ! The pork butt sandwich plate was outstanding - tender and slow cooked. I got two sides and chose the baked beans and Mac-n-cheese. All for $20. The baked beans were sweet and delicious and the Mac-n-cheese, so good. I wanted the grilled corn but they had already sold out for the day. His massive smoker is located just to the right side of his place. Wood logs are everywhere. Kevin is a true BBQ man. I also bought a slice of a praline pecan pound cake, courtesy of a local cake shop. Wow again. Highly recommend this wonderful "dive" eatery. Note- this is a takeout place with just a few great choices including ribs. Nothing fancy but so worth taking a few minutes to get to from the highway. The proprietors were friendly and helpful and even brought out samples of the brisket for diners to try. (Gotta go back for more of that!)

And speaking of lunch, my son and I both had the rib meal (four bones and two sides). He went for double mac n cheese and I had green beans and baked beans. Those ribs were perfectly smoked with a nice dry rub and hit our plates just this side of fall off the bone tender. That flavor! There was sauce on the side but they didn’t need it. I tried it anyway and it was solid: a little smokey and a little sweet and worked well with the rub.

Now, let’s talk sides. Those green beans were straight outta my mom’s kitchen: lotsa bacon drippings and black pepper, sprinkled with diced onion. Mercy! The baked beans were dressed up with a touch of their personal sauce and were thick enough to be enjoyed off a fork.

As someone who takes immense pride in their BBQ, I have to say Smoke-N-Joe-Box in North Little Rock has set a new standard for me. I spend 6 hours smoking ribs and over 24 hours smoking brisket, and up until now, no one has come close to matching the quality of my BBQ. But today, I found my match.

From the moment I walked in, the smoky aroma was enough to tell me I was in for a treat. The ribs were perfectly tender, with a rich, smoky flavor that penetrated every bite. The brisket was incredibly juicy and packed with a deep, savory taste that only comes from a true mastery of the smoking process.

The sides were just as impressive, complementing the meats perfectly without overshadowing them. The staff was friendly and clearly passionate about what they do, adding to the overall fantastic experience.
