Okay...I tried to give this place a chance. I'm convinced that Black people in the Dallas area are so desperate for Black spaces that they settle for places like this. Food was good. That's it. Extremely over priced. And I like spending money on great food. But this isn't it. You can get better food at the same price or cheaper at some fine dining restaurants in Dallas. Sidenote...I went for brunch both times. The menu is extremely limited during brunch and that's understandable. The price of the food needs to match the experience. And unfortunately many Black owned businesses in Dallas know that a lot of Black people don't know that. Because why am I paying $25 for an entrée, but your floors are sticky? I've been here twice and experienced this both times. Why are they buckets and rags on the floor that you're cleaning the tables with? Why when I go in the bathroom right when it opens and it isn't clean? Why when I put my name on a list you're using a notebook? If you're charging this much for food, this should NOT be the experience. I had THE WORST old fashioned in my life here and it was a drink listed on the menu. When I told my server, who saw I literally took one sip and told them I didn't want it, they said they don't refund drinks. They're charging premium price for cocktails and don't know how to make them. I've gone to the best bars in Dallas, and if there ever is an issue with your drink they don't charge you and or make you something else. Good restaurants want you to leave happy. This is another restaurant whose main goal is money. As I'm reading the reviews, I see that management has taken none of this feedback and done better. They are in these reviews arguing with people instead of using it as feedback to improve! YIKES! If every other review is saying your floors are sticky...fix it. Just wow. Unfortunately this is another Black owned business taking advantage of the lack of dining experience many Black people don't have. Again, I've been here twice and had the same experience. With months between visits. If you like paying premium price for food when you'll leave with sticky shoes and have to look at the cheap paint job, amongst other things, then this is the place for you!

My first visit to ESO mimosa bar… Customer service was at a solid 9/10 my waiter was great and attentive. I came at 6pm on a Sunday so the crowd was at a minimum but the vibes were still there. The reason I’m giving this place a 2/5 is because i paid $150 for all of 1.5hr of service. I came for The menu however they only had baskets available. The honey lemon pepper was delicious. The hookah from wicked hookah was good but took forever to get right. By the time i got it to finally start pulling right i was being kicked out because they wanted to close 2.5hrs early!!! They closed 2.5hrs earlier than the 10pm time listed on the site. I was told at 7:15pm that they was closing at 7:30!!! Please update your site before misleading customers. I do not feel i got what i paid for. I get closing a hour early but 2.5 hrs is absurd. I drove from Allen,Tx to Arlington to be disappointed and kicked out early. i was told by the manager they closed early due to the cost of staffing because there was not enough customers which is not our problem as the consumer. Major False advertisement. Highly disappointed. As high as gas is please have the courtesy of running a respectable business and abiding by the hours listed. Overall, things like this make it hard to support black businesses. After the money was made from the day party the staff chose to Sunday funday in deep ellum vs doing their job as advertised

Food is AMAZING, and the drinks are GOOD. I will say that. I came here two days in almost a row (Friday and Sunday for Brunch). On Friday I came after work for happy hour so I arrived around 1700 or so and I walked right in that I didn’t know if the place was open or not. There was Security at the door but they just kinda stared at me lol. So I walk in and immediately I am impressed by the setup and immediately disappointed by the up keep. The floor was sticky and dirty. The bar was dirty and the bartender took about 5 minutes…. Okay maybe not 5 minutes lol but you know what I mean lol. She took her time to even attempt to wipe the counter down so I can sit and eat. Mind you there was NO ONE at the bar when I walked in. Nonetheless, I stayed and enjoyed myself until about 2100 at that’s when the crowd changed to a much more younger crowd (21-35). And that was my cue to leave lol. I came for Sunday Brunch and yep, the floor was still sticky (what’s up with that). But the food was AMAZING. I had the Catfish, Shrimp and grits with a side of scrambled eggs (you can’t have grits without eggs) and it was DELICIOUS. And it also attracted the younger crowd with the louder music and so on. I’m NOT KNOCKING IT, it’s just not my cup of tea. I definitely recommend this place. The vibe is NICE and the food is AMAZING.

My friend and I got seats at the bar because all of the EventBrite tickets were sold out for Saturday for a table. I have mixed feelings about this place. It's nicely appointed, good location in Arlington and minority/woman owned (Shout out to her). We went for brunch and when I go to brunch, I try to envision a place I could bring my parents to or someone I'm getting to know. That being said, I would not bring the aforementioned group here. It is definitely a day party, club type of vibe. They have a d.j. and he was good and the music is loud. Too loud to hold conversations. This is the type of place I would bring girlfriends to for a mid-day turn up! If you're trying to converse with your company, go elsewhere because it's like being at a club. I'm not sure if this is what the owners intended, but that is the vibe. I have no complaints about my food or drinks. Our bartender/waitress was amazing. My food was good too. Just so you're not shocked if you decide to go, they do charge 20% on every ticket, you will receive plastic flatware (think Waffle House) and our mimosas came in plastic "glasses". I don't know, maybe it's a health concern due to Covid-19. Overall, I will probably go back when I have out of town people who want to turn up a bit.

I went here with a total of 12 women for our monthly brunch meet up. We had a reservation. When we got there they divided us into three different booths which did not even face each other. We then requested that they put the tables together like a normal restaurant would do, which would make more sense so that we could all mingle. The hostess stated “we have a lot of walk ins so we can’t do that.” My thing is- we had a reservation so we should take priority over walk-ins. Finally she decided to take our suggestion, and put the tables together so that we were all sitting together. I’m big on customer service so I didn’t care for the push back that was given. Our actual waitress was nice, but overall the service wasn’t anything to rave about. The food and music was great. I had the catfish shrimp and grits. A few of my friends ordered drinks that took years to come to the table- and then we were rushed off upon arrival of the next reservation. We were also told that the bill could only be split four ways. Imagine 12 people having to arrange how the check would be paid, and add the slow service- then to be rushed to leave. I’d suggest a more organized system be established to make the experience of large parties more pleasant.

Went here for a friend's Birthday Brunch. The atmosphere was lit. They had a dope female DJ that day that was playin' all the jams. The food and drinks were amazing and the service was top notch. Would definitely recommend it if you are ever in the area or visiting.💯🤘🏾
