This is a frequent work lunch haunt. The menu is ridiculously extensive. Like, novel-length. But that means there's something here for everyone - everything from pho, to stir fries, to sushi. If it's vaguely Asian and not from India, they've probably got some version of it. The vegetarian options are solid but not extensive - do be aware that the "Vegetarian" section of the menu isn't all there is if you're going the plant-based route. The vegan pho, veggie sushi rolls, and tofu pad Thai are elsewhere. They'll also work with substitutions and the quality is quite good - not the absolute best of anything, but really solid offerings of everything. I recommend the Buddha's Monday with lemongrass tofu, doused in the various delicious condiments they have on the table. The veggie tempura roll is also quite tasty. There's no lunch menu, and the portions are quite generous, so if you're here for lunch, either bring an appetite or prepare to have some leftovers. They've also got a great draft beer selection and an excellent cocktail menu for those of you who aren't returning to productivity after your meal.
The service is also on point - I've never had an order come out wrong, and the waiters have even good sports when an obnoxious friend gleefully quizzes them on how well they know the massive menu (we have been impressed on multiple occasions). They clearly know their stuff.
Ambiance is bright, airy, and rather noisy. Think the classier end of giant murals and mirrors and TVs. Very Western, though - this is not your standard Chinese restaurant decor. They're definitely rocking the sports bar vibe, and it gets quite noisy during dinner hours. This would be a terrific place to watch whatever game you're planning to watch this weekend. Lots o' TVs, and the bar area is quite nice. There's also a very pleasant outdoor patio with a nice fountain for days when the weather isn't gross. Just be aware that the patio chairs have a pretty impressive recline (Laid back. Literally.), and if you sit right beside the fountain you'll probably get sprinkled on...
Read moreThe food was great for something simple and fresh. I have been to more authentic pho places. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for beginner pho eaters bc the coriander isn't too overwhelming. The spring rolls were my favorite! The shell was cooked perfectly and wasnt too chewy and then they had a wonton rol in the spring roll for crunchiness! The penut sauce was "okay" but not the best. The ordered thai tea and mine came with boba. Boba was way over cooked and the thai tea was overly sweet. I would recommend the tea as a desert. My husband had the pad thai and expressed that his dish was not as flavorful or spicy as other pad thai he has eaten before. His pad thai was also very wet snd the noodles are not very chewy. But the taste was not bad but just was not the absolute best. The banh mi was what a banh mi should taste like(probably the most authentic item we ordered). My son had chicken nuggets and fries and gobbled it down in 2 seconds, so of course, he loved it. We sat outside and it was a lot more quiet and calm. The inside was loud from the TVs. The waitress was nice and courteous(great service all throughout). We got our picture taken and was offered to buy some frames as well. Bottom line: this is a great place for socializing and eating "safe" flavored and beginner style asian food. If you're looking for authentic flavors and taste then this is...
Read moreSo the first couple of times that I went, the food was great. I work nearby, so I typically place a to-go order prior to arriving. The hostesses are always cheerful & kind. Yesterday I ordered a kid's portion VEGGIE stir fried rice. Well there was chicken in my rice... As well as a strand of hair on the inside of the top lid. I skimmed through the food and didn't find anything else, hair or otherwise. Being that I was in a rush & had already left I ate the rice & pushed the chicken to the side. Today I decided to give them another shot, since I had never had any issues with the food before. I ordered a kid's portion Jasmine rice & grilled chicken. I asked if they could add peas and carrots, they were unable to accommodate that request. No biggie. So when I received my food this time, lettuce was hanging out of the container.. ok. I checked my food before I pulled off, no hair, and everything was as it was supposed to be. I drove back to work, and cut into the chicken... Smh it was rubbery in some areas, too much fat was left on the chicken. The rice wasn't as fresh as I initially thought, neither was the chicken. I don't know if it was previously cooked and reheated but it didn't look right. Needless to say, I'm very disappointed and will not be returning. Forgot to take a picture of the...
