Nice little cafe. I believe it's under new ownership/management which is cool. I'm not for certain but I think the manager took my to go order. He was very nice. Let me know they were just rolling out a new menu that day. Having been in the food industry for 30 years, I have a few pointers. Your hostess need to put their cellphones away and pay more attention to the door, phones, and guests. There is no place for your to go guests to wait for their orders. I stood at the edge of the pie display in the way of the employees coming and going behind that front counter. It was an awkward place to be. The table by the front door for Uber and Door Dash pickups is too long and inattentive. There is no checks and balances that the driver is grabbing the right order. Or that everything is there. It was a Saturday afternoon (about 1pm) and not very busy yet it took 30 min for 2 items which were not hot or made correctly. I just had to travel back across the street so the food should have still been hot. If you are going to serve cornbread, you have to serve more than a mini muffin. At least the menu should state that's what it is. Your customers are going to expect a good slice of cornbread with butter. My boss was disappointed at the size and the fact it was hard. Maybe think about shredding the meat for the taco salads instead of serving it in chunks. It would spread the flavor of the rest of the ingredients more. I will definitely give this place another try. The whole experience wasn't bad. I think with just a few tweaks I would give it 5...

If you’re ever in South Arlington and need a place that feels like a warm hug wrapped in good food and even better energy—Good Day Café on Cooper is it.
We walked in during a packed rush, expecting a wait, but were immediately greeted by Eric, who was calm, collected, and made us feel like regulars from the jump. That first impression alone set the tone—but what followed was next-level.
Vianka, our waitress, was magic. From the moment she walked up to the table, her radiant smile lit up the room—and honestly, it stopped time for a second. After a long, stressful day, she brought peace and joy in a way that no menu item could. You don’t get that kind of light in most places—it was genuine, effortless, and unforgettable.
But don’t get it twisted—the food also came to impress. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served hot with care. It felt like a home-cooked meal made by someone who actually loves to cook. From the first bite to the last, it was all love.
They even thought of the details most places overlook—easy parking, comfortable seating, and prices that don’t break the bank. You can feel the heart and soul in this place—and that’s rare.
Bottom line? Customer service was bar none, the energy was warm and inviting, and Vianka’s presence turned a rough day into something special. I’m not just recommending this place—I’m making it a regular stop.
If you’re looking for comfort, connection, and damn good food, this is the place to be. I’ll...
Read moreFirst let me say this is hard review to write because I think the establishment is overall amazing, however I have to warn others about the possibility of the health concern! Two days in a row they have ignored the 50% cap curt rule. I was at a table with a clear sign that the table next to me was a no seating table to make sure the social distancing rule was adhered too. The problem came in when the morning rush came and two gentlemen walked in needing to be seated. The Owner let me say it again The Owner removes the sign and seats them right next to me and between me and another set of people on the other side. I didn’t not just run to give a bad review I went and sat outside and when the owner came out I made the concern known. She stated she is aware of the 50% capacity and doesn’t allow it to be ignored. I didn’t tell her I watched her do it to avoid a negative situation thinking I got my point across so that’s enough. I went back the following day because again the food is amazing and the staff is excellent. I was sitting at a table and again it got busy and the 50% capacity was ignored and honesty it might have went to at least 90% so it got worse.. I really hope she and her husband reads this and enforces the rules to keep their establishment open and keep the lives of people as their first priority over money... Again food is amazing as well as the service however Covid 19 is real and business owners should not put anyone’s...
