First impressions are lasting impressions and I won’t patronize this business again. I called to get their exact location because I had spent well over a hour and a half driving to places they were not located due to GPS identifying their address at every address except the one listed on Google. Due to the reviews I was excited to try and it was my first time here so GPS is what I rely on. When I called the number after driving 20 more minutes to yet another false address, I spoke with a woman that turned out to be the owners wife. Very argumentative and rude lady. I tried to inform her that due to the error on GPS that it could impact their business because people would either get frustrated and not come or may think they are no longer in business if they didn’t call like I did. Instead of thanking me, she wanted to spend time arguing about who has no problem finding it. Keep in mind images online does not reflect this actual location. Very unprofessional and unnecessary dialogue when she could have easily apologized for the error, thanked me for the information and redirected me to the correct address. Poor management and lack of customer service skills. Notice in the image I provided that the address listed on Google does not show up in this gps as “Hershey’s Palace” but their restaurant is listed twice with incorrect addresses that are not reflected on Google. Simple error that she could acknowledge and correct as it is their company, but she would rather argue. All of that driving and the food wasn’t even great.

The food was disgusting. Sorry, not sorry. To be straightforward and honest like I always am, this is the furthest thing from what is advertised or even rated as. The food was soggy, flavorless and processed. Cheaply made and poor quality. Nothing was home cooked or homemade. It seemed like everything came microwave ready. A complete travesty honestly because the ratings fooled me. The fish nuggets were so soggy, flavorless, and similar to mystery meat. The breading/batter used was ridiculous and resembled a puffer vest. The fries were stiff, undercooked and flavorless. Decided to opt for cheese fries, and the cheese had the worst texture and taste. Obviously processed and the equivalent to Barbie food. The black napkins leaves dye all over your hands and face. I don’t know whose idea it was to choose dark and dyed napkins. The containers they used do not have ventilation so the steam is a makeshift broiler and your food is left soggy like it did P90x at the local gym. The Philly is disrespectful. It is so loose and poorly made that even the bread wanted to escape. It crumbled from even looking at it. The pizza puff is nothing more than a “sauce” burrito. Nothing pizza or puff about it. No authentic restaurant advertising classic Chicago cuisine or staple cities has ever lived up to the standards they think they have. The only way people are rating this as good is because they haven’t been to Chicago. Also poor management/ownership. Do not recommend.

Ordered a medium pepperoni and sausage pizza on regular crust. The other option is deep dish. The pizza was a beautiful presentation. Everything above the sauce tasted great. The ingredients were fresh and cooked perfectly. However, the sauce was a bit too thick and sweet for a pizza. As with other reviews I've read about the toppings falling off the pizza, this is why. The sauce is too thick. The crust is really similar to the pizza crust at Palios Pizza. Crunchy/chewy texture. I didn't like it. The pizza wasn't as good as I'd hoped but I'll go back and try the catfish. ....now let's discuss parking at this place. It's located on Abrams st which has been converted into a restaurant walking hub. So it's a two lane street that you have to drive slowly while on it. The parking lines themselves for this unit of buildings has been drawn OPPOSITE the flow of traffic. Meaning, if the restaurant sits on the passenger side of your car as you approach it, you will have to BACK-UP into a parking space. FURTHER MORE, when you leave, you'll be facing oncoming traffic. I had to park on the side of the building and walk to the front door. So beware of this. So I deducted one star for the pizza sauce/crust and one for the horrible parking. Customer service was excellent. Really friendly and ready to answer questions.

I am a frequent customer of Hershey's Palace since they have been open, since Jack's Chicken Shack moved out the building. I used to work at a business on Abram and have always enjoyed the food I've ordered. Congrats!! on the new addition of the lounge with karaoke, Live DJ and daiquiri's is absolutely the best idea ever.

I would give 5 stars but my issue is the customer service received and it's always been a long wait whether I call in or place order when I arrive but with the original cashier she was nice and friendly. I loved talking with her ..however Friday 4/9/21 was definitely an absolutely terrible experience.

The cashier DiMaya (name on receipt) was inattentive, daydreaming, zoning out/unfocused.

We and other customers had to repeat their orders more than once...more than twice!! She was not paying attention which held up orders from people that called in by telling them the orders weren't ready and they were behind her and didn't look until the customers asked if their orders were on the table behind her but within her view... She definitely didn't want to answer any questions..her face and tone said that.

A lady and her daughter came in and everything they ordered including pizza she was told they couldn't have or it wasn't enough for an order. The mom got irritated after she mentioned the 4th or 5th item and was told they didn't have that..the daughter wanted to just leave after that! But the mom was able to finally convince her and placed an order but was still waiting after long we left..we waited an hour almost for a catfish meal, and a few other items no special orders.

There was a handicapped man who stood waiting for close to 20 minutes she never suggested that he take a seat and maybe offer to bring the order to him when it's done. No offer of condiments, cutlery either!

DiMaya was very uncaring about errors, when asked a question she blankly stared at the customers for what seemed like 5 mins but to the point where the customers had to ask if she heard them and she said yeah but still didn't provide any answers. It was like she was new with very minimum training or experience with customers and the cash register! Her customer service skills need help.

Our order was wrong, she offered to send it back but there was no way I was going to let that happen..and have to wait another almost hour..nope! Thank goodness I am an owner of 2 food businesses. So I fixed everything when we got home I really wish the original cashier or Hershey's wife was there. I wish Hershey's Palace the best and...
