Hubb's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Arlington

I give hubbs a 3 star although the other two people in my party would have given it 4 or 5 stars. They've been here before so they knew what to expect, but it was my first time here. I liked the ambiance and environment of the place a lot, I can tell hubbs is locally owned and a community favorite. My Shirley temple was great but didn't come with any cherries. We got the mozzerela sticks as an appetizer, and my fiancé accurately called them "carnival food". These things were super deep fried, past the golden brown color. It was almost burnt, but I like a little extra crunch so for me it was fine. The marinara sauce was a little too watery and the tomatoes a bit too chunky. It was hard to get a good dip. I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza, but I wish I didn't. It was probably my fault for not asking how the pizza was constructed, but it came with just a thin BBQ swirl on top of the pizza. The pizza was doughy, and the chicken was simply shreded; not tossed in BBQ sauce or anything. I could tell because the chicken was underneath the cheese. I did not enjoy the flavor profiles of the onions either. Thankfully my fiancé got mizithra pasta and liked it a lot , but even though she specifically requested cheesy bread instead of garlic bread, the cheesy bread STILL HAD GARLIC! Overall, this is a local spot, a quick drive, and friendly staff. I'll give this place one more chance, but it won't be for months. I'll probably just try the classic cheese pizza and hope...

With the local street fair leaving us tired and hungry, we needed a place to sit down and eat. We passed by Hubb's on our way to the fair, so once we saw their good reviews, we had to try it on our way out. And oh my goodnessssss!

But once seated, before you do anything else, order Hubb's Yummy Bread. Soon as you can. That was no doubt, the yummiest bread I have ever had. Delectable warm bread perfectly topped with an aromatic herb and butter topping, which was also collecting on the bottom of the plate to scoop up, and complete with a very tasty marina sauce dip in the middle! We stuffed ourselves with that - no regrets. Right after I took the last bite of bread, our server came out with our pizza! It was a medium with half Garden Special and half Meat Lovers. The pizza was so perfect everywhere else, that we weren't even mad it had a lack of marinara sauce in it. We ordered an extra side of the sauce to dip some of the pizza in. Their sauce and cheese, everything, is delicious. The only other suggestion I could possibly make besides more sauce, is to consider dicing the tomato instead of slicing it; diced tomato could be easier to bite into.

Highly recommend and we will be back! Not sure when since we're from out of town, but hopefully sooner rather than later. I've got that yummy bread still...

I ordered a pizza, a bbq chicken sub and Yummy bread and was highly disappointed. I called and asked if the sub had any tomatoes and the lady told me no and i said oh thank goodness perfect i don’t want tomatoes, and she said it came with a salad. The sub had tomatoes on it and we got no salad. The chicken was so dry and burnt. The yummy bread was burnt and cold as if they were overcooked and sat out. My toddler absolutely loved their yummy bread the first time we went in and sat down so I was even more infuriated when I brought it home she couldn’t eat it. I swear it was a major choking hazard my husband couldn’t even chew through it and he’s a blue collar man! I called to complain and was told the manager was not in but they would call me back in an hour. Over an hour later they called me and said no manager would be in the rest the night and the owner would call me on a scheduled time. I spent $70 dollars and could not feed my kid, had to order from Pizza hut since my toddler really wanted some cheese bread especially after a long hard week the last thing we needed was such a failure in Hubb’s part. We had such a great experience dining in one time, and now after this waste and absolutely no help to compensate such an expensive waste of a meal I will never ever order at Hubbs again, and will be sure to tell my friends and family the horrible...
