Racist and Prejudiced shop owners!!! On vacation and brought my American-Asian wife with me to possibly sell RARE and SSP Adolis Garcia cards, and buy some too. Owners and employee were rude and didn’t want to even see my collection even stating no one locally wants his expensive cards!?!?! I didn’t need/have to sell any cards. The younger white male employee even tried to send me to their local competition (which happens to be Asian owned) due to my wife’s ethnicity. In shock, I then asked if they had any 2018 Bowman Chrome Adolis Garcia rookies, to which an older woman rudely barked back at me that they had more than enough. I then asked how many they had and said that I would like to make a purchase, to which the owner, an older bald man with glasses said they don’t do that. I said, Do what? Sell me cards? So, I asked again to see and purchase the cards and the older white owners and younger white male employee refused to do so. I and my wife left with a few choice words for the owners and employee due to how we were treated and being denied access to purchase items. I only wanted to get RARE cards to a local market of fans for Christmas and was not trying to cause issues. Players, collectors, and fans STAY AWAY! ** I never pressed anyone to buy my cards, but was surprised that they didn’t care to get even look at them, and when I continued to ask about buying cards from them, they refused multiple times. That is when I was barked at by the female employee, who is the owners wife. I stand by my review and advise that you shop elsewhere rather than give money to the racist owner, his rude wife...
Read moreI’ve been to Play Ball a couple of times and staff has been very friendly as well as given great deals on some rangers autographed cards.
Today me and my buddy went in and I pulled out a Nelson Cruz Auto out of 10 as well as a Nelson Cruz auto out of 99 and ask about pricing on both of them. As the older female employee went off to determine a price I went onto eBay to try and find recent sales of the card or similar cards to determine how much the value is and how much I want to spend. She returns with the out of 10 and says they want $25 for it and I asked what she compared it to and asked if she could do $15 on it instead. She tells me what she compared it to and then says she can do $20 and adds either I want the card or don’t it’s ok with me in a very annoyed tone. I understood so then I ask about the other Nelson Cruz I had pulled out and she takes it to the owner which he returns and says $15 and walks away to which I had replied a much lower numbered one sold for $15 and asked if he could do $10. The lady tells me “we’re not going to argue with you” and the owner steps in and states “we have bills to pay and this is not eBay where we negotiate on everything” and started acting very hostile towards me and my buddy. I told them I understand and walked out of the store.
Needless to say it was a very hostile and rude experience for us and we will not be returning. In no way shape or form is this how you treat your customers or...
Read moreI have been all over DFW looking for a shop and I can call “my local card shop” and I have finally found it. There’s a TON of signed memorabilia for all teams, even if the selection is of course Cowboys/Dallas focused. From wall decor, mini helmets, balls, jerseys, you name it they have it. There’s a wide selection of football, basketball, baseball, wrestling (WWE/some AEW), and some Pokémon. They have a wide selection of sealed product, graded slabs, raw cards when it comes to sports. Both new age cards and older cards.
Personally my experience was fantastic. I was greeted very nicely by the man who works the register in the front, and the nice lady who helped me pick out a NFL blaster. In the back, I was helped once again when looking for some WWE stuff! Once I mentioned wrestling, the younger man working in the store had a full conversation with me about CM Punk’s return and it just created a very welcoming atmosphere. Most places here in DFW make you feel like you’re stealing from them when you ask for something, or don’t wanna give you any deals whatsoever. Upon purchasing my NFL blaster, the lady didn’t charge me for my wrestlers and told me they were on the house. Was it only three dollars worth of cards? Yes. But it was more so the kind gesture I appreciated. This is THE sports card store in the DFW area.
I will be back here again and again, with my...
