Me and my wife went in, asked what we should try and ended up with what I think was a kind of sampler platter. Not really knowing what we were getting was fun and ultimately deliscious. They started us off with what are the best empanadas I've ever had. They were a perfect gold color had a thin but extremely crunchy crust with a thick fluffy interior filled what I think we're potatos, beans, beef and what I'm sure are some secret spices :) While eating our golden pockets of happiness they brought us some type of pineapple drink. It to was a deliscious, a cup of some type white frothy concoction that was easy going down and full of satisfying pineapple pulp. Not long after finishing our empanadas, they brought out what can only be described as a mountain of food on a large platter along with a bowl of ever so slightly spicy but extremely flavorful salsa. The salsa was heavy with cilantro, and lime. It was comprised of many ingredients but obvious that those two ingredients were the "base" I guess you could say. Very good. On the platter was basically a little bit of everything, a deep fried piece of pork belly, a very thin perfectly cooked juicy piece of steak, a piece of what I guess is Columbian chorizo. The chorizo is nothing like Mexican chorizo with a completely different profile of flavors but far superior in quality. Some very good beans, a coffe cups worth of rice with a over medium egg on top. Half an avacado, a piece of lettuce, a slice of tomato and what really to me what stood out.........
The coleslaw.
The coleslaw blew my mind. I didn't know what to think it. Often times coleslaw for me conjures up memories of gloppy mixes of cabbage and mayonnaise and Lord only knows what else. But this coleslaw was bright, happy, light and refreshing. Obvious uses of lime, onion, cabbage were other. But also obvious is that it goes deeper than that. The coleslaw is a explosion of flavor that I could eat a whole bowl of if it was put in front of me. And when put on top of that thin juicy steak ..... You won't be able to forget it. Ultimately the service was great when they asked how it was I told them it was great.
I then proceeded to order a dozen empanadas, a large container of coleslaw, and a cup full of that beautiful salsa to take home for later. They told me it might take up to 20min cause they had to make all of it. To which I said no problem, I'll wait! Highly...
Read moreColombian food is recognized for their generous quantities flavorful quality and MOST importantly their platter presentation ( the saying yo u eat with your eyes) If you rate this even 3 stars than you clearly do not know Colombian food. They have 2 locations and the food is overprices, real small SLOPPY and tasteless. Bandeja paisa for about $17 brings a PIECE of steak that looks like a kid pulled a paper from a notebook , HALF OF A SMALL chorizo HALF OF A SMALL old REFRIED chicharron, beans? theres was like 10 and the rest was the can sauce (no flavor) salad. Arepa was the size of a dollar coin if you have ever seen one. 11 bux for 1 small whole chorizo with NO AREPA
11bux for chicharron with no arepa

Read moreWhen you first walk in the place has a the funny market smell mixed with cleaning supplies. Menu is a 2 sided laminated page with a handful Of items and NO PRICES listed. I figured an empanada may be $2-$3 max! We ordered 1 chicharrón, 4 empanadas, 1 morcilla and 1 Malta. $37 dollars !!!! The chicharrón itself was $10!!!
The Place has 3 small tables, very dark blue paint on the walls. Not welcoming at all. Just not a clean welcoming vibe.
P.S I am Venezuelan, married a Colombian, lived in Florida and Hawaii. Meaning I am very familiar with what a good Colombian dish should be, I’m familiar with cheap prices from Florida as well as VERY EXPENSIVE prices in Hawaii. This place was not it! Forgot To mentioned I drove 30 mins to come Check it out. The morcilla was dry. The $10 chicharrón was not even flavorful nor crispy all the way. However I give the empanada a 9/10. Flavor was great and was nicely crispy. Overall I would not recommend this place due to high prices and low...
