Worst place I have ever eaten. 1st time here and to be honest there should have been red flags considering the sign on the wall near the entry/exit door with the health department number. Husband ordered nopales and eggs with beans and potatoes and I ordered quesadilla with pastor, beans and cheese with rice and salad. Potatoes were obviously precooked maybe even as long as overnight huge disgust and a no but my husband is not a picky eater so he was ok with it I guess. My pastor meat was clearly burnt and recooked several times for sure, smothered in oil didn't even look/taste like pastor meat at all and even taste like the "cook" spilled cinnamon in it. The quesadilla was very sloppily put together and the tortilla was burnt as well. I brought it to the attention of the waitress and even mentioned to her that we would pay for the 2 pinches of salad and 1/4 cup of rice and returned the quesadilla. She asked if I wanted a replacement but I said no. No telling what would have come next. Gross So we pay for 1 plate, lg tea, lg water, 2 pinches of salad and 1/4 cup of rice and chips and salsa 15.00 and change. Really? This rating won't be the only place I complain that's for sure. Extremely aggravated and disgusted with this hole in the wall place! Now I understand why the health department number was posted on the wall. I'm really considering it. SAVE YOURSELF AND DID NOT EAT AT THIS...

I am APPALLED! True Mexicans know the richness, and how deep flavor dances like a ballerina on the taste buds, this place isn't Mexican. I ordered a Torta de lengua with the side of French fries. No sé qué chingados me llegó, but when the plate came I saw my reflection in the plate, from the glistening oil plastered over the fries. I luckily had my shamwow and patted the fries down, then had to add salt. The Torta came wrapped in foil, and well... least to say I was displeased with what I unwrapped. Nothing like a boy unwrapping a Christmas gift, because the joy was replaced with misery and greasy fingers. No, what I felt here was my life falling apart like the torta that came out. There was no sign of an opening on this wrap and so the torta I ordered quickly converted to a lengua salad with Texas toast. Not a pleasent visit to...

The place is pleasant, the staff is wonderful but I’m here to rate the food. Plus it’s hard for me to eat Mexican food when I’m Mexican and it’s hard to find a really great spot that meets my standards.

It’s not costly, but it’s (in my opinion) to high for the taste. I got the Taco Plate with rice, beans and lengua.

Rice - it’s okay. Beans - plain / lacks salt (but you can add it) Salsa for tacos - green is good / red is good Salsa for chips - too thick in my opinion and way too cold, but it’s alright. Chips - good Lengua - here it is. To me it was a 2-star. Lacked flavor and tasted not cleaned or cooked authentically. No flavor either. Texture is there, visual is there but definitely not good in my opinion. Lacked a lot.

Overall I rate this place a hard 3 star. Will I come back, sure. But not getting the...

Expensive price for burnt meat, dull rice and dry refried beans. Food was boring & tasteless. Waitress decided to make the Resturant her own personal nightclub by turning up the music full blast. All the guests were looking at her like she was doing drugs. The Owner/Manager was standing next to waitress but never told her to turn the crazy music down so the patrons could eat and speak with one another in a relaxing atmosphere. Save your hard earned money and go to a different Resturant were you are treated with respect & courtesy. This Mexico Food is neither Mexican or Food.

Stopped in for dinner with friend. I love that they make their tortillas in house and offer free refills! The beef enchilada, tamale, steak burrito, and tacos (lengua , barbacoa and steak) were what I got with rice and beans. The steak tacos were dry and chewy with little flavor, the lengua and barbacoa were decent. The beans also are made with pork so beware if you are allergic (substitutions are available). Overall we had a pleasant experience as service was fantastic. Would return to try more on the menu.

If you are looking for a restaurant that serves food like you were at someone's home, then this is the place for you. I have had Mexican food all over the US and in other countries, and this is by far one of the best. The tortillas are made daily which is a plus. I had the guisado de puerco which was fantastic. The portion was very large for the price, and everything was well seasoned. I plan to eat there on all my trips to Arlington and hope to share.one of their cakes with my my group on the next trip.
