Sesame House has a lot of good reviews. It seems most of their customers are happy. Not many Chinese restaurants in Arlington with this many good reviews. I like Chinese cuisine, but I’m spoiled. I’ve experienced dining on a floating restaurant in Kowloon. I was lucky to dine at Arc-en-Ciel when they had an Arlington location. We ordered a Happy Family and a Seafood Combination. Both are house specials. Both for pickup. There were a few customers dining inside for “daily lunch deals”. Note the dining area is tiny with minimal decor. The portions were generous. I think it was excellent value for money. The vegetables were fresh and plentiful, which suits our taste. The meat was good and plentiful. On a minor note, the chicken wasn’t on par with the beef. Overall, we enjoyed it. There was plenty of food for lunch and dinner. No wonder they have happy customers.

Egg foo young was stuff in box instead on container with lid.... Sopped in oil... greasy...taste like raw veggies and oil. 1/10 Orange chicken...taste pretty old...very chewy. Flavor was decent. 2/10 Teriyaki chicken...small chopped bits of chicken 3/10 Shrimp lo mien... Mall quality at the end of the day 4/10 Chicken fried rice... Huge chucks of basically raw white onion. The chicken itself was very bland and chewy . 4/10 The egg rolls 5/10 just ok Egg fu youndu gravy 6/10 most flavorful part of this order. White rice was ok 7/10 just steamed regular Overall very disappointed spend $73 and for 4 people 3/4 of the food wasn't touched or eaten... Pics and videos included... I would not go again or recommend. The place was spotless with no done in customers and smell like fresh bleach as soon as you open the door no scent of food at all.

A modest eatery which offers very tasty Chinese cuisine at a rather reasonable price. What amazed me was the quantity they serve. In my personal assessment, one order is good for at least three people. The service is excellent, to say the least. The fact that they served the food in disposables was the least of our concerns considering the quality of the food. Though it would have been nice had they served their food with proper crockery and cutleries, and had table service. However, we did notice a good number of customers walking in for takeaways, while there were no other seated customers all the time we were there. That gave me the impression that this was a place better known for its takeaways than for dining in. The place is very clean, and there is adequate parking in the premises.

I am outraged right now!! I have been a customer for several years with this establishment and as of today I will no longer order anything nor eat at this restaurant. An unauthorized tip was taken out of my bank account and once I realized it I immediately called the manager. First off, he asked why did I not want to tip the driver. Second, he incorrectly tried to say it was for the two drinks I ordered regardless to what I said to dispute it. I'm outraged because he told me it's not a his problem but a my problem. I NEVER added a tip to my order I placed online and I called the restaurant to add the 2 drinks and was given my adjusted total to pay. The manager refused to accept acknowledgement of their mistake but clearly doesn't know that's fraud to take extra money through an unauthorized tip by the customer. He wasn't trying to listen to my grievance but to disrespect me by saying it's not his problem but mine, I can't and will not accept that! You steal my money then turn around and insult me. I will never spend money with your establishment and already notified my bank...

I wanted to like this place, it has some good points but overall it just wasn't a good experience for me; reasons below.

Pros: Cashew chicken was good. Potstickers tasted good. Portions were great. Cost to volume of food was great.

Cons: Literally less than 5 min away yet it took over an hour for my delivery. Food was just warm, clearly had been the car for awhile. Fried rice tasted weird, not sure if it tasted old or what cant really tell. For some reason instead of using a online credit card payment they have the driver run your card in person, a bit annoying and I have to physically have any card I want to use so I couldn't use my online visa gift card like I wanted. No way to specify your sides or "choosible" parts of your order other than hoping they read a comment and hoping you actually select the right thing.

Overall Most of my issues boiled down to the delivery portion of the restaurant so I think this place would be great as a sit down or a take out place but I wont be ordering delivery...

I had have been getting American style Chinese food from here for almost 30 yrs . The food has always been consistently good. Highlights include, spring rolls (shrimp and lightly pickled cabbage and carrots). But not the egg rolls. Both wonton(filled with ground pork and seasoning), and the hot and sour soup. Moo goo Gai pan. Tender pieces of chicken breast, tossed in a light sauce with celery, carrots, garlic, and water chestnuts. Try it with some fresh lemon juice. Also any version of mu shu. 5 Chinese "tortillas, and a generous amount of mu shu meat with lots of mushrooms, carrots, onions, and celery. Honestly nothing bad on the menu. Food and ingredients are always fresh, and generous. Also their delivery staff are top notch. Occasionally your order may take a bit longer than you expect. But that is because this place is so popular for delivery, and they only have a limited kitchen and delivery staff. With that said, the wait...
