Showdown Saloon — Restaurant in Arlington

OMG....My new BEST place!! Why no previous reviews (that I read) mentioning the POKER table game going on?? Was my 1st visit here but will NOT be my last! I am known as OG & I am an 'older lady' (66 going on 26) who loves, Loves, LOVES shooting pool & dancing to the music!! I felt accepted & loved immediately!! I'm in heaven right now with the good music, playing pool with Tanner & Brooke & having a GREAT TIME!!!! No judging here. You are our people when you walk thru the door!! Sheet can get a little crazy as the day's end approaches & as the booze rolls on but WTF, love it or leave it! We come to chill, playing games, converse, dance to the music, just let it all hang out, de-stress & have a good time!! NO one allowed to drive home drunk. Ain't happening, love y'all too much!! Someone will help ya or last resort...The police can come get you to make sure you get home safe...eventually. LMAO!! Everyone looks Ain't happening, love y'all too much!!!! Mixed review for me. I just moved to the area and Googled the closest dive bar and this one is right around the corner because I love dive bars. Great atmosphere and friendly bartender and some cool customers. Unfortunately some of the regulars were not too friendly. I'm Hispanic just moved from the city (Dallas). One regular asked my nationality, another when I told him I was from Dallas asked with hand jesters am I from Oak Cliff or Pleasant Grove ( Predominantly Hispanic neighborhoods). I advised I'm from North Dallas. Went to patio and had sports discussion with a gentleman and I thought all was well. Paid my bill and when I was in the parking lot the same gentleman said "alright ese" after I told him my name earlier. I got out my car to tell him that's not cool, that's when I realized I came to the wrong bar. I actually bought multiple rounds for customers to show appreciation but got burned. Basically ok bar but I wasn't welcomed, guess I will have to drive a little out of the way to enjoy my self in...

Well let's see. Typical dive bar. I originally really liked this bar, I was coming here for about a week playing pool with my wife no problem. The drinks had a weak pour to say the least but they were cheap so it was ok. Well I came here one weekday afternoon as I have many times before to shoot some pool and have some drinks. I go up to the pool table and I was informed by one of the regulars whom I have seen there many times before that I had his pool stick and I have to write my name on the board and wait in line to play pool. Um ok? Didn't have to do that before, but I went ahead and complied and gave the man back his "stick". Sitting there waiting, another guy I've seen there before came stammering up to me clearly wasted and began telling me racist jokes. He continued doing this for about an hour, all the while nobody was playing pool, yet I was still before 3 or 4 names so I wasn't allowed to play. We won't be...
