Friday night November 13. 2015: After a great night out with friends we decided to cap the evening with a meal at (what used to be) our favorite little after hours grub-hub, Waffle House # 206 at Cooper St and Arkansas in Arlington. The restaurant was not crowded on this now early Saturday morning and we were able to find a seat as soon as we walked in. The server was reasonably quick to arrive to take our order and took my friends orders first. After getting the order from my GF and myself we were served our drinks and conversed while waiting. My friends orders arrived quickly and they began to enjoy their food. My GF and I waited patiently and got drink refills while waiting for our food, which all orders were pretty similar. My friends and I each ordered the steak and eggs breakfast and my GF ordered sausage and eggs. My friends were nearly finished with their meal before we were finally served ours. I noticed the steak was not at the table yet and assumed it would be following very soon. I noticed my hashbrowns were not to my order, missing mushrooms, but said nothing at that time. By now my friends were presented their check and I still had not gotten my steak for my meal. They noticed their bill was about $40.00 and were questioning the server about the charges for 2 steak and egg meals and 2 teas. I mentioned I was nearly finished with my meal and still had not seen my steak. I also mentioned the missing mushrooms and asked them to ensure they were not on my check. At this point the server left and another server came to the table asking what was the issue. As we were explaining things, She got rude and the tone quickly escalated to an argument and the server became more agitated. That is when she threatened to call the police on us all and accused us of not paying what we owed, which was not the case as we were all still seated and simply asking about the long list of individual charges on the bills along with food we did not receive. My friends and I decided it was no longer worth the time to continue this and we simply all paid our bills as shown since it was now obvious that we were not getting anywhere trying to reason with the staff. As we were exiting the server met us outside and continued to argue and called the police from her cell. We gave our statements to the officers and afterward we were met outside by one of the cooks who apologized to us for the entire is issue. Needless to say, we will no longer go to Waffle House if this is the way they decide to settle a question...
Read moreI am here with my visiting sister for the holiday. She wanted to dine in and eat at the Wafflehouse that we passed. The facility is the worst Waffle House facility I seen. And trust me, I eaten at Waffle Houses on some secluded highways.
The tables were filthy. The floor was sticky. The condiment tray was loaded with half empty bottles of sauces, etc... that had not been cleaned. The floor molding had not been mopped or cleaned in what could be a very long time.
The waitress had a terrible attitude about our request for her to clean the menu mats, the table, the condiment bottles, underneath the condiment tray, and to give us plastic utensils because the utensils she gave us had dried food on my knife and my fork.
The waitress rolled her eyes, smacked her lips, and showed very poor customer service skills. She acted as if we were bothering her.
For a Waffle House, the food was ok. The cook worked on one grill. Everything ordered was cooked using the same grill including all meats. which Im use to that, I worked a WH when I was 18.
The kicker and what made me write you today was when we got ready to leave. Our meal totaled $27.17. Despite the poor service and unclean issues, I rounded the payment up to $30. I waited for the waitress to say thank you for coming, have a nice day, instead the waitress asked what was we waiting for. I said for you to at least say thank you or have a nice day....NOPE! She rolled her eyes and walked away. Seriously? No more! I will never go to another WH. Again. Done. This visit was on Saturday November 23rd at 1530. And no the place was not busy still not a excuse to be that unprofessional. Location was Cooper & Arkansas in Arlington TX Oh yes coffee cup had multiple coffee rings in. We ask I different waitresses could she warm up some syrup. She did so in a coffee cup. Picture below This is just terrible. I order my food to be put in a carry out format just because I did not want to eat from dirty utensils. I ordered the breakfast scrambler bowl (bacon) with onions & mushrooms. My sis order All star meal with raisin toast &bacon we both had waffles that was not done in middle waffle did not rise it was very mushy in middle. Very flat like. But what the hell I was ready to just go. I did tell the young lady at register about the Waffle gave me no response. There are no WH where my sis live in MD & this was her pick. So i thought what the hell let's give it a...
