I received a rough estimate from Angel over the phone for installing a Helix V Eight amplifier, two Audiofrog GB60 speakers in the front doors, two Audiofrog GS25 speakers in the dash and a Helix Conductor in a '22 Toyota 4Runner. Installation would also include installation of pre-purchased sound deadening/isolation and tuning of sound. Angel gave me a rough labor quote of 30 hours at a fee of over $180/hour with a minimum of $5500 and that is just the labor! The amp, speakers and sound deadening I've already purchased and are provided. That $5500 does not include the cost of speaker wire, power wire, fuse blocks, etc. Holy cow Batman!!!! UPDATE: I just spoke to the owner, Nick Williams. I wanted to be clear this review is based on their ridiculous hourly labor rate, which is, according to Nick, 1.5 times their normal rate since I did not purchase my gear from them. Mr. Williams was pleasant on the phone and I'm sure there are folks willing to pay that price per hour. I'm not one of them. Because the owner followed up with me, I'm raising my review to 2 stars. And by the way folks, this isn’t rocket science, and you shouldn’t have to pay through the nose for this type of work. I’ve decided to do most if not all of the install myself. Here’s a picture of the back of my 4Runner after I’ve removed multiple panels and carpet. I’m about to clean it up with a vacuum and rubbing alcohol and then I’m gonna start laying Damplifier Pro. I recommend that before anyone start a project like this, research it thoroughly and ensure you have everything you need before you start taking everything apart. Is it complicated?...YES, but it's not worth over $180/hour. Luckily I'm a retired Navy Chief Electronics Technician. :-)

After calling around to several Car Audio places including Car Toys and Soundworks and getting blown off. I made a call to these guys and was completely amazed at professionalizm, knowledge and patience Nick displayed. He took the time to answer all of questions without rushing me off the phone or pressuring me to come in. His goal was to educate me on various options and further help me figure out what I needed for the results I desired. I called a few days later at the last minute and he got me right in to complete the work, they even stayed late to teach me how to work the system. Both Nick and Travis are nothing less than fabulous. The install is flawless and watching the team interact with every customer that either called or came in was treated exactly like I was treated, with a professional, consultive, friendly demeanor, even when they got slammed with customers and phone calls. These guys truly enjoy what they do and are more into providing education about the products and installion process, then pressuring you into buying. I cannot say enough great things about this place. One thing is for sure they set the bar!! Never have I encountered the level of customer service anywhere else. The entire experience was pleasurable and I will not be going anywhere else. Thank you guys so much for...

after trying places in Dallas, getting ripped off, crap installs, etc. and laughing at incredibly poor customer service at some other Arlington establishments..these guys got it right! I did my first car install here over 20 years ago? I think, and I'm glad I made it back. I won't go anywhere else now. the whole crew was great. price was fair. you get what you pay for. whereas some places you don't. I love my new speakers. I can't wait to go back and replace the head unit and do some more upgrades. I highly recommend these guys.-Eric B. Edit since my last. I recently had my car totaled in front of my house overnight and again chose to do some shopping around. Car Toys and another stereo shop in my area gave me quotes and nothing compared to what I felt was the better value from Mobile sound. Car Toys was the same price, and the other place did not seem to care about me as a potential customer at all. I waited a few months to post this edit because I wanted to feel sure, and I am 100% I made the best choice in going back . You pay for what you get. period. Nick and company will listen and do their best to fit your budget. These guys have a...
