Silvia's Taqueria — Restaurant in Arlington

Despite this being an unexpected place to eat (due to poor planning and a closed restaurant, on my part), I am so happy that I was able to find this gem of a place.

The tacos my hubby and I had were so full of meat. I had 1 lengua (beef tongue) and 2 chicharron, and hubby had 3 tripas. We were both ecstatic that they even had those options on the menu. It's our favorites, so we had to try them and they were delicious.

If I were to nitpick, which is not really a big deal (hence the 5 star), is that they didn't have overly spicy sauces. We love our pepper spice, but didn't get that here. The red sauce they had had a good kick. Just wished they had something with a bigger kick.

Would I come back? In a heart beat. We'll be coming back more often now that we know this place serves tacos besides the normal barbacoa.

Oh, and they sell menudo on the weekends. Will be coming back...

Authentic, meaning, the cuisine's natives dine here and fill up the place. Authentic, as in they dress their tacos with cilantro and chopped onions; you can choose between hard and soft tortilla shell; the menu is in Spanish. The line at lunch time is long. If you're want tortas, then cool. If you want food with only the condiments and salsas it's already served with, if any, then cool. If you want tacos con pico de gallo y creama, then this is not the place ...unless you already have the as condiments and salsa at home in your fridge and you're ordering to go back home. This place nickel'd and dime'd me $6 for pico and sour cream. Order for 3 tacos por una persona. I never went back. I recommend Fuel City...

Silvia’s Taqueria is a hidden gem! The food is incredibly authentic, and you can tell they put care into everything they make. I had the Huaraches and Torta, and both were absolutely delicious—freshly made, not soggy at all, and the meat was seasoned perfectly. The sauces added just the right amount of flavor, and you can really taste the freshness of the ingredients.

It’s easy to drive past this place since it’s a bit of a hole in the wall, but trust me, it’s worth the stop. They have a great selection of food, drinks, and desserts, so there’s something for everyone. Plus, the workers were so kind and welcoming, and the food came out quickly. I’ll definitely be...
