Great Peking — Restaurant in Arnold Township

We have been customers of this restaurant for years and years. We used to go there with our children when they had their great buffet. My oldest “child” is now 46 years old! Just to give a point of reference. We called this evening to order what we usually get sweet and sour chicken and I requested fried rice instead of white and asked if they could use less soy sauce. The last few times we have had it there was A LOT, the rice was a scoop of almost solid dark brown rice, which i did not like. The response from the guy taking the order was, “ NO we make it the way it is. We aren’t going to play that game You either want it or you don’t. It’s OUR way or the highway!!” OUR response was hanging up on them! I really like their food a lot but I am certainly NOT going to be abused. Perhaps you’ve lost sight of the fact that we actually PAY you. That’s how you stay in business! We were not asking you to change your entire menu..... just asked for less soy sauce. How difficult could that really be if you’re cooking the orders fresh OR are you? Apparently Not!! Anyway, we won’t be calling you back. Perhaps you need to revisit the term customer service! We have never been treated so rudely at this restaurant before. We know the guys who run it like to joke, , but this was clearly NOT a joke,...

When I called in my order the gentleman that took it must have been standing near the kitchen vents because it was difficult to hear him. As I was giving him my order and I asked for a egg roll. I didn't know he said we didn't have any, I thought he said how many. When I said 2, he ask if I understood English or not. I was caught off guard but apologize for my mistake. I finished my order and my husband and I arrived to pick it up. He stated it would be 20 minutes so that is when my husband walked inside. The man at the counter stated it's not ready and I'm sorry, no, I am not sorry and contined to talk to himself. Once we got home we both agreed that was the most bizarre experience we have ever had ordering take out. The food was definitely not good enough to go through this again. Not to mention, the box he gave us our food in stated it had raw chicken in it at one time. It was our first and last...

One of the more horrendous experiences i have ever had ordering food. When i ordered, i was told 30 minutes, 2 hours later the joke of a driver finally showed up AFTER i called up twice wondering what was going on. Got told he must be lost, but yet he had a brand new iphone in his hand when he showed up and told that that didnt matter, no phone call from him to alert me has was lost, probably decided to get high on the job and forgot what he was supposed to be doing. Incredibly disrespectful when he showed up aswell. If i could rate them 0 i would. Do not order if you want your food in any kind of a reasonable time frame, or you want even halfway decent customer service, as when i called to cancel they said there was nothing they could do.
