Palo Mesa Pizza II — Restaurant in Arroyo Grande

Best pizza in the county. I've been ordering here for awhile now always been pleasant. The wait time is well worth every second. Not only is their pizza phenomenal but the service is the best. I have my pizza delivered ever time same way. This evening I ordered same as usual and it was delivered within the time given. My pizza had no sauce so I called figuring I messed it up or they misheard me. The gentleman taking the call was gracious saying it was their human error mistake and insisted on making it right. I said it's no big deal but he countinued to want to make it right. This local owned shop has won my loyalty and I will always recommend this to everyone. He could of easily said sorry but him saying he had to make it right so I had the best pizza is a true dedication to customer service and your trade. Thank you Palo Mesa Pizza....

Love the food from Palo Mesa but tonight we called to place a order over the phone and were told all orders have to be done online on Palo Mesa Pizzas website or doordash app. For delivery on Palo Mesa Pizza website there was more then $9.00 in fees for 2 Calzones. So I went over to Doordash app and it was more then $12.00 in fees. Basically more then the most Build your own Calzone Costs. Also you are unable to make changes to orders online so if your allergic to something they won't take it off. 🤯🤯🤯 I understand gas prices are at a all time high but all of these fees are ridiculous. They have lost our Business and I'm sure there are lots of other local people who will be doing and thinking the same about all of the extra charges. It's a good thing we have 5-6 other pizza places within a few miles that are equally good if not better...

Ordered a meatball sub with a small salad. Not too pricey for what you get. First off, the sub was huge and hot. The chilled salad had fresh lettuce, onion, and tomato. Came with a chilled packet of Ken's dressing. Now I admit I have yet to find a decent meatball in a local restaurant. (Not yet tried them at Mama's Meatballs, but I plan to). These were too dense and not tender at all. That could have been excused if the flavor was remarkable. It wasn't. No better than Subway or Jersey Mike's. They are probably intended for use as a pizza topping, not a sandwich. And too much garlic overpowers the whole thing. Not nearly enough cheese and the bread was dry and tough. As I said the sandwich was large and yet they didn't cut it in half. No napkins included nor a fork for the salad. So disappointed. Guess I'll have to stay with my...
