EL TEQUILEÑO Family Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Arvada

So went to El Tequileño restaurant on 64th in Arvada and let me just say DO NOT waste your money there! I ordered the chicken enchiladas and found a piece of chicken bone in my food. I called the manager over and all he did was look at it and ask if I was going to eat the rest of the food on my plate. I told him no, after finding that, I didn't feel like eating the rest of my food. Asked if I wanted a new plate. I told him no. He proceeded to take my plate away. After we were finished we got our tab and my meal was still on the ticket. We called the manager over and he said that he wasn't going to take the meal off and that I put the bone in the food to get a free meal. Really??? Stupid man!! We tried to explain how dangerous his carelessness was. What if i had choked on it or what if a child had gotten this piece of bone in their food and the manager didn't care. Said that they can always call an ambulance. So we asked for the owner, the manager told us he is there everyday and that he was on his way, so we told the manager that we would wait. All of a sudden he didn't know what time the owner comes in, then the waitress told us that the owner was not on his way. The manager finally took the meal off and said that if this happened again, that I would have to pay for my meal. Really, your food, your mistake, and I'm suppose to pay for it?? Don't think so!

So bill was paid, then the manager kept harassing us by walking behind us stating that he needed to check our car?!? For what? We told him he was harassing us and that we were calling the police. He then went back inside the restaurant.

So long story short, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT, EL TEQUILEÑO IN ARVADA. ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE SMALL CHILDREN, FOOD CONTAINS SMALL...

This restaurant deserves 5 stars in all areas of service. The food is delicious. The folks operating this business are genuinely friendly. The menu is extensive and the prices are remarkably reasonable. This is my new favorite restaurant.

UPDATE: 8/2025 I have been going to El Tequileno for 8 years. I have hosted dozens of special occasions with family and friends there. Last Wednesday a friend and I went there for an early dinner. Our server was friendly and efficient. When the check came I put my credit card on the tray and our server took it to the cashier. Moments later the cashier, Katy, came back with the credit card and print out for me to sign. She threw the credit card tray on the table without breaking stride and said something unintelligible that ended with 'You guys'. We were dumbfounded. I took the credit card printout and started to add the tip. She had entered zero on the line for the tip and totalled the bill. My friend took the card and credit printout up to her and had it redone so I could tip our server. I was too angry by then to interact with her. I entered the tip and signed the printout. I asked to speak to the manager and had to wait around 5 minutes to speak to her. While I was waiting for the manager, Katy looked at me and smirked at me. Tomorrow, I am hosting a special family dinner out and we will not be going to...

Well raymondo's Margaritas are still the best in town but food service is inconsistent we went last night , my wife ordered a veggie burrito every single vegetable in the thing was completely raw hadn't even been seared in a pan and my refried beans were chunky they were not smooth or creamy I don't think that's really rocket science to do that. and my Spanish rice was not cooked We made the floor manager aware who is in a new person and she was kind of lost as a to a solution she didn't say hey we'll take it off the ticket or will order it again it's just like nobody's empowered to do anything and they made the excuse oh we're short-handed well being short-handed is not an excuse for substandard inconsistent food.

Being slow to deliver sure......... but not changing the quality or consistency. We will never give you money for food again only a margarita you better pray Raymondo never leaves here or your dead at the Arvada location

The owner has a serious work to do though he doesn't seem to ever do it, nor does he EVEN care , hence no response... keep bragging to your cronies , im sure your king in their...
