Unfortunately this location is the only 24 Hour Fitness within 15 miles of me that has decent equipment. But there are 5+ machines down right now:( Definitely got the feeling that 24 Hour is going out of business. This location has weird vibes...I've been the recipient of A LOT of awkward staring for no apparent reason. If you're going to stare that hard at least say hello?! A lot of bad gym etiquette to the point that Ive grown numb to it. I don't expect anyone to clean machines when they're done and they DON'T. Lots of regulars who camp out on machines. FYI, when the gym is packed, you have to share, be courteous and respectful of other members. You don't monopolize machines, because you believe yourself to be more entitled, gym royalty. On that topic, there's an older male regular who is exceptionally aggressive, yelled at me last week, he had his hissy fit while he was using 2 machines at a time. Nervy!!! He's always too intense with the drama, runs around talking a lot of bs, needs to chill out. He's always there around 11am. I've actually changed my gym routine time to avoid this guy:( The private bathroom by the big class room is most days completely disgusting. The toilet is like what you see at truck stops, and piss puddles in front of it. It's obvious that it's cleaned only once a week. Most days it's too gross to use. And maintain the combination lockers. Many of them are broken and can't be used. There are holes in the foam floor by the free weights. I stepped in one a few weeks ago while getting off bench and almost fell. Fix the holes in the floor please! The piles of disgusting debris under all machines are concerning. I saw a pair of women's underwear on the floor by the leg machines one day and it was still there 3 days later. I'm always worried about catching illness at this gym because it's so dirty. And please clean the lockers, many have dirt and mud in them. The staff needs to be cleaning more. I'm close to canceling my 24 Hour Fitness membership, really frustrated that every other 24 hour fitness near me isn't even worth going to, and this location, while it has good equipment needs attention.
April- I caught another illness from a gym member in early March. This illness was so brutal it took me out for a month. This gym is a cesspool of germs, illness! After 5 years of membership I canceled my 24 Hour...

I don't mind this gym because it definitely has some positives but it could use improvement.
THE GOOD: This is a pretty good size gym with quite a lot of equipment. Typical pain points at many gyms are pretty good here: 6 squat racks, 4 dual cable cross machines, at least 3 adjustable benches and at least 3 flat benches, multiple flat/incline bench press stations, tons of other equipment. A lot of treadmills, bikes, ellipticals and other cardio equipment. Staff are pretty friendly. A lot of extra stuff or services that I don't typically use or need. Prices are reasonable and on par with other gyms like this.
THE BAD: I don't think they ever use a vacuum anywhere. Dust, dirt and hair everywhere. For comparison, at Chuze Fitness they were always vacuuming. The men's locker room is really gross - I don't think the lockers or urinals ever get cleaned and the urinals/toilet area are like bus station nasty. Even the walls under the hand dryers are disgusting. I spend the least amount of time possible in the locker room. It can get really busy in the weights area and you have to be strategic about your workout, which isn't always doable. Typical gym that is doing its best to cram in as many members as they can. The community spray bottle cleaning stations aren't as nice as wipes like some gyms have and I can only imagine how filthy the spray bottle handles are. A lot of people don't even use the cleaning stuff. There are often empty paper towel or hand sanitizer dispensers. The adjustable or flat benches are all locked/bolted down except for one. Some of these negatives seem like they could easily be fixed but there seems to be a copy/paste response to any negative reviews here..."It is important for us to provide a clean, comfortable environment for all...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI wanna start off by saying Iāve been going to 24 hour fitness for 6 years, and usually 4 times a week. I prefer working out past 10 PM so 24 is the best option. Iāve never had any issues with the other people working out, vice versa. The folks at this gym have terrible gym etiquette.
I was loading up my bench and some old guy starts screaming and cussing at me. Apparently, he was gonna use the 10s I was using. Keep in mind, when I grabbed these 10s, they werenāt on a bar, they were untouched on a plate tree, and this guy was no where to be seen when I grabbed them.
The same guy proceeded to put four 10s on each side of the bench, between each set, he uses other machines. Of course, he doesnāt re rack weights, just leaves the 45s on the bench then goes home. If I see loaded weights then I assume itās being occupied. Dude got mad I took weights he was GONNA use just to leave plates on the bar.
There was another guy doing Tās three inches away from the dumbbell rack. I get that you wanna be close to the mirror, but youāre preventing people from grabbing the weights in front of you. Itās not my job to tell people to move, or to re-rack weights. The staff could really make a difference by patrolling a little bit.
Every time Iām at this gym, the old guy who racks four 10s just mean mugs me. I have kids and job, thereās no time to beef with TRT Santa. Iāve been at this gym for just two weeks and already feel un welcomed. The other 24s in Aurora and Lone Tree had friendly atmospheres.
This review might seem anecdotal, but it really only takes one or two bad apples to ruin a gym. The same way a girl might wanna leave a gym if a guy takes creep shots of her.
Iām still planning on keeping my membership as 24 has all the equipment I need and I love being able to work out all hours of night. Just writing to review to warn potential gym goers that main character symptom has...
