IHOP — Restaurant in Arvin

We're a long time IHOP fan, mainly for the great plentiful HOT coffee. I've been coming to International House of Pancakes since 1960. This latest Ihop was a joy to see open because before we had to drive to the Rosedale Hwy Bakersfield location for the best service and food. Locations do differ as many are franchises and depending on who is in charge your service and food may vary.

Plenty of parking, the addition of outlets with USB ports is a plus. The layout could have been better and obviously not planned by a user. Booths should have lined the windows not a walkway. Seeing people seated helps business (huge mistake). Giving a couple a small thermo of coffee fills only 1.5 cups so a needless waste.

Prices are on the HIGHer side but to be fair so are the other restaurants next door such as Panda. The problem is cutting corners as well. One slice of toast cut in half? Plus only white or wheat toast (no sour dough?) was available.

Omelet came with unrelated cheese tossed on top. Again you want to charger higher rates than make sure the quality match.

The result may be that we skip this location and drive 30 more miles where we get what we want.

We gave 5 stars ONLY because we accept this location is new, staff is new and don't want to cause business in any way to be lacking. This could be a great location because living in the local mountain community we need good...

Just let me start by saying for the first time ever I’ve given zero for a tip after standing at the please wait to be seated sign for about three minutes the woman looked up from her phone and then walk into the kitchen, leaving me there Another guy walks in says you’ve been here long just a couple minutes I said to be fair I didn’t yell at her, so maybe she didn’t see me but she just walked away while I was standing here she came and sat the two of us. She took my order and the guy after ne’s order two more guys walked in she took their orders. She brought out the guy behind me food then she brought up the other two people’s food who came in after us then finally she brought my food with pancakes not hashbrowns because she never even bothered to ask me and I forgot that you got your choice. Then she walks away after bringing me the hashbrowns not even giving me the chance to say I’d like Tabasco sauce had to wait 15 minutes for her to come back after id already ate my omelette and my food was cold meeting at sat there till she decided to bring it to me after bringing everybody else Their food who came in after me so if you see the woman in the video I’d walk away don’t bother trying to get...

THIS PLACE SUCKS!!!! I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO AN IHOP AGAIN!! I was greeted by,"Jesus" at 7:55AM and seated. Jesus stated that "Laura" would be with you shortly. I sat there for 15 minutes before Jesus came back and asked if Laura had greeted me. Mind you that there's a server 2 tables away from me having a conversation with a customer about 3 different topics. That server is Laura. She never acknowledged me, never said anything to me. Jesus came back and asked if he could help and I told him "hell naw". This is how you guys treat people? She was not busy. The restaurant wasn't busy. She justed decided that she wasn't going to sever me. She should be fired. I'm sure this is not her first time doing such a thing. I also learned that there's no manager on duty.
