I don't know how these guys do it but they are simply the best pizza in Asheville by both my wife and I's account. My wife is vegan, I am not. She swears this location's vegan pizza is better than the North Asheville location and honestly after my most recent pickup, I agree with her. I was disappointed they no longer have roasted red peppers, but as long as the red peppers stay on the list of toppings, I will continue to drive all the way from Leicester to this location for their pizza specifically over the North Asheville Pizza and Brewing location.
They must simply have some extra passion for pizza because I can't imagine the two locations using different recipes but the sauce to cheese ratio always seems to be perfect, nice saucy pizzas with just the right amount of cheese, not too much or too little, particularly with the vegan cheese where most places are too stingy with it, these guys make it right.
Atmosphere is 5 stars just because the guys there just have a good vibe. They must like what they do and care to do it well...
Read moreWe are new to the area and I saw it was pizza week and my cravings for pizza started. Anyway we did not realize this was not a restaurant and was takeout only-my bad. We’re we’re immediately greeted by a friendly guy that reminded us of Duff from Ace of Cakes. He took the time to explain the specials of the week and even showed us some complete pizzas for other customers. Although hit sounded weird I went for the chicken and waffles pizza minus the pimento cheese. My wife got the Hawaiian minus the cheese. In addition we got the wings, which comes with a dry rub and options for sauces. The chicken and waffles pizza was unlike anything I’ve had. The flavors worked well as “Duff” said they would. The rub on the wings were not overpowering and did not need any extra sauce (I did get the mango habanero but barely used it). The Hawaiian was very good as well. You can also choose crust toppings. I plan to try the everything bagel. Overall a great experience and would recommend. We will be...
Read moreMy wife and I have been vegetarian for 3+ years, and we eat plenty of pizza. No matter where you go, you can always get a veggie pizza and it's usually good. But, I still kinda miss a pepperoni or sausage pizza. Cue yesterday, when I looked up this place, while we are in town on vacation, and saw they had a VEGAN pizza with PEPPERONI AND SAUSAGE? No way. Well, I was skeptical, but we got it and brought it to our hotel room along with an order of cheese bread and had our minds blown! The pepperoni was delicious and the sausage was spicy and delightful, and let's not forget the crispy crust and the yummy sauce (luckily we got 2 extra cups for dipping because we might have fought over it. Lol). Give this place a try! If there meat pizzas are HALF as good as the vegan pizza, it might be some of the best...
