Most frustrating restaurant in Asheville to order from, NEVER TRUST THEM to get your order right. This is my first time ever leaving a negative restaurant review but it's forced at this point.
TLDR: they will repeatedly mess up your order and blame others
We've ordered from here a dozen times because we like the strombolis and always order 2 things of extra ranch (which costs money). On like 7 out of 12 times they've forgotten it. We even say sometimes in special instructions "please don't forget the ranch" and even then they still forget. You shouldn't have to beg the restaurant to please include your entire paid order.
This time they forgot the stromboli dinner! They refused to do anything about it when I called so now I am wasting my time getting a refund and we're still out 1 dinner. They even ACCUSED the doordash deliverer of stealing it, saying "maybe they took one of the items out of the bag and retied it to make it seem like it was never there". But the restaurant still forgot the ranch that came with the other dinner! Since they already screwed up this order with that, it's pretty wild to also accuse the dasher of stealing the food instead of admitting they messed up and forgot both things.
Obviously we will never order...
Read moreWe love the original location, but live closer to this one, so we saved some time on the travel. Unfortunately, that was the wrong move. My meal was not brought to the table with everyone else’s and no one checked on our table after the other food we ordered was brought out, so I went to go ask after 15 minutes had passed and they said they were still preparing my meal. Ended up just canceling my meal because after 10 more minutes passed, they came to the table to let me know it was actually completely missed and they were preparing it now. I sat for almost 30 minutes with no food while my family ate and if I hadn’t asked, I would still be waiting. Overall service was below average, no one came to ask how the food was or if we needed anything. This was the food we catered for our wedding and we always look foward to it. Go to the other location for a 10/10 wonderful experience and the best Italian food in the area. Stay away from...
Read moreClosest bite to a NYC slice! Just got back from the city and finally found a place that pays homage to a real NY pizza. They have the best ovens, and seemed damned serious about the whole pizza thing.
First, and extremely important is the dough. Nice crust; thin and crispy with some give. Softened up a little as it cooled. Air bubbles around the edges with a good char here and there under each slice.
Next the sauce. Homemade with a balanced flavor…not overdone. Maybe a pinch of sweetness could help. Maybe it’s just me being Italian, critical, and picky. It all became a food coma around the fourth slice!
Last the cheese, a creamy and a generous spread. It’s definitely a mix. Food server said they grate it fresh. It gave off just enough fat to let you know it was the real thing.
All in all, really great. They just opened but understand they have a pizza joint on north side. I believe they have a winner.
I highly...
