Waffle House — Restaurant in Asheville

I want to 1st say that the people working 3rd shift on 4-23-24 are most definitely on drugs probably meth with the way the cook was zooming around and flinging his arms I don’t remember what time it was but I came in To get a quick Togo to take back to my hotel room it wasn’t super busy most tables had food but I wasn’t even greeted when walking through the entrance no biggy they don’t have a bell on the door and people can get loud when conversing over a meal the cook kept touch his face hair and mouth with gloves on then would use same dandruff gloves to cook food with I know my waitress seen his unsanitary cooking and didn’t speak up for the customers very sad when leaving the establishment the cook beat me outside before the door closed behind me he was standing out side by the dumpster smoking definitely not a cigarette and I can’t even say I believe it was marijuana it smelt horrible almost like a vacuum cleaner belt had broken please clean this place up the customers are being poisoned slowly as long as drugs are allowed to be...

Out of every Waffle House we have been to, this was our worst experience yet. We were the ONLY table in the restaurant at the time and had poor service. We were not brought the right amount of straws, no utensils, no syrup and more..... The waffles came out thin and very hard. The waitress said they had outdated waffle makers. The cook remade them and they came out better. We also had to wait on our check and if you have been to waffle house before, you know they give you your check right after your food. I understand she was the only waitress there but WE were the ONLY table, so not a viable excuse to me. Surprisingly my husband still decided to tip a $5 but I told him it should have been whatever the minimum standard is for tipping. Since she had the waffles remade he felt otherwise but was also not happy and said we wont return to that waffle house again. We will continue to go to the one in the heart of Tunnel Road where it's always busy so busy that there's always a wait but you get faster and better service...

So I have seen this place go up and down with quality if food and service. It now for about 6 months has been in a very low place with both quality if food and service. I ordered a Chicken Melt old school on wheat, what I got after totally neglected service was this dry no grilled onions hardly melted cheese thing, I bring it to my servers attention only to hear I am sorry as she then does nothing about it not eve tell the cook that grilled onions come on the melts! I also ordered my hash browns with Chili but after being serve this plate I mention that she take my plate to add the chili only to come back and say we are out would you like gravy? I said no... How when it was not slammed could you completely run out and not even be in the process of fixing any chili happen!? I know how... extremely poor service and quality! I will not be back here I hope they will get it in order again...
