We stopped here about 4:30 pm on a Monday. There was NO ONE in the dining room and the drive thru was not super busy. FIRST of all, they changed the menu so in order to get the Signature Club you have to pay EXTRA to get the Club toppings so now all the sandwiches are basically the same except for the sauces which is idiotic. On top of that, I feel like we were overcharged for our food as a "punishment" for the fact that Asheville has no water due to the hurricane...almost a form of price gouging. They charged us a dollar for a WARM canned drink even though a drink is INCLUDED in the meal price. If they are doing that they should have changed the menu to reflect that. The menu board showed $9.29 for the meals we got and we were charged $10.29. When we asked the "manager" why this happened since we already PAY for a drink in the meal price she said "The drinks are $1.00". I asked why when drinks are included in the price and she "Well we don't HAVE fountain drinks". I told her we felt overcharged because we PAID for a drink in the meal price and it's not our fault there's no water plus the drinks they CHARGED us for were warm and we couldn't even drink them. She said "It's not our fault either". She was very unprofessional. There were NO signs posted about the charge for a canned drink. Other fast food restaurants we visited since the hurricane GAVE a drink to replace to one included in their meal. Additionally, we ordered a Kickin Chicken meal that came out UNTOASTED with almost ZERO sauce on it. We will not be stopping at any Zaxby's in the future. We would have gotten better food at a better value in any number of REAL restaurants without shady practices like this. All I can say is watch your receipts and hope for a better manager if you stop in.

The location on 1650 Hendersonville Road, Asheville. Closes at 11pm online; I’m here at 9:15pm and they’re holding cars at the speaker. Making people think they’re closed causing multiple cars to leave the line. Which as you know is not good for business. Now I’m not sure why they’re holding cars whether it be to have a better drive thru time or to simply not have to work as hard. If you have record of drive thru times which you should; you can see that vehicles are sitting for extremely long periods of time. I am a General Manager for Bojangles, I know how this works. And if you’re going to hold cars; how about not having them have 2 health violations visible from the window? Dirty tea urn lid sitting on top of your napkin dispenser in a hand washing station. Also having dirty paper towels sitting in a hand washing sink. So much more can be done better at this location. And if you are doing service checks, possibly send someone out at night to see what is really going on in your location.

This time, I actually had time to sit down and enjoy a full meal as I finished class 1 hour early. I got the ZaxSeas Surf & Turf Box and quite literally devoured every bite. Anyone that knows me would know that I MUST get the actual best thing: a side order of egg rolls. This is enough to give Pagoda, Tai Pei, and P.F. Chang's a bad name. Everything was perfect. However, It did scare me a bit when some guy posing as a health inspector showed up. I just wanted to let you know.

Most of the time I go to this Zaxby's I always have a subpar experience. I order my fries extra cripsy and rarely ever get them as such, they never offer or give me my reciept. I spoke to a manager before and let her know about the issue and was assured that she would take care of it. I went back a week or so later and I received my exactly as ordered and expected and I even got a reciept too.

I tried them again today and was not shocked at all. I placed my order via the app and when I arrived to pick up the order I was early. So I asked the drive through lady and asked if it was to late to get my fries extra crispy. I was told no and they will make it as such. I then arrived at the window and was asked to pull forward, which was not an issue. I arrived about 5 min before my scheduled pick up time but did not recieve my food for another 15 min later. When the employee brought me my food she was missing a drink which was not an issue. Another employee brought out my second drink. I left and when I started eating, about 10 min after I had departed I opened the bag to eat supper and the fries were not extra cripsy let alone cripsy, there were no straws in the bag either.

Long story short I can honestly say that I will NEVER patronize this loacation again. They will no longer get my money. I will take my business down the street to Huey Magoos where never have I ever had an issue with my order and they will make the fries...

35 minute wait for food AFTER placing the order. Not a complicated order either, 2 people 2 meals. We weren't the only ones either not to mention the order numbers started coming out so random - orders 87 and 97 came out together then 83, 89 and 91, etc. The servers up front were doing a reasonable job, I can't fault them there, but I have to assume the kitchen was going up in flames. When we finally got our food (did I mention it took 35 minutes??) the chicken was warm (mine) - hot-ish (husband), my sandwich looked thrown together (I'll forgive that.. even if it's not pretty) but the fries were stone cold. They did give us new hot fries with no complaint.

The General Manager who came in in the middle of the whole fiasco and began to turn it around was apologetic, sincere and said he was working to improve the location.

In other news, the location is not your typical Zaxby's decor. It's done in a retro, modern sort of vibe. Not bad... but personally I like my standard Zaxby's. A down side for me, again personally, is the tables do not handle my portable clamp-on highchair and the highchairs available sat my baby chin high to the table.

Overall, I'm thoroughly disappointed. Will I give them another try? Maybe......
