Captain D's — Restaurant in Ashland

We stopped at Captains D's in Ashland Kentucky around 11 this morning Nov. 21.2017 and ordered takeout which we have never had a problem with. My husband had the catfish and I had the two piece fish and shrimp. We ate as soon as we returned home which is is Louisa Ky. but this time and this is the first time we both said what a lousy meal the worst we ever had there. His catfish were so small I gave him most of my shrimp the hush puppy had no flavor what so ever and I usually love them it was like a flour ball cooked., my fish was good the shrimp was good and the cole slaw was good. The french fries tasted like left overs from yesterday. We did get Shrimp cocktail sauce but with a takeout you usually get plastic spoons and forks and napkins. Nope we did not. It will probably be a while a long while before we go back...

I thought it was awful waiting in line it was very busy inside and the drive thru as I started to give the lady my order a man had cut line and stepped in front of me the lady seen what he had done but took his order before mine after I had been standing in line for several minutes so after she took care of him she then proceeded to take my order and very nicely told me that the gentleman that had cut line comes in very often and apparently always cuts in line I found this to be very rude because apparently the man who cuts line always tells them he is going to call corporate on them for not taking his order !!!!!! I think Captain D’s should not allow this if they wouldn’t let him do it every time he comes in I will never come back to this place again I found that to be very rude and their food isn’t...

This restaurant like many other restaurants in our area has days that are pretty good I can tell you that it is not on Saturday night or on Sunday night 2 terrible days to go to this restaurant foods been called the last three times we were there on Sunday my wife ordered shrimp the shrimp was cold we told them about it we ordered five more pieces of shrimp that were on special so that she could get some warm shrimp and no one mentioned anything about the fact that the first order was cold you really need to find some managers that have a sense of business and that realize when you've made the mistake you need to make it up to someone wouldn't recommend this place you've definitely lost us been going there...
