I waited over an hour for a chicken salad sandwich that had absolutely no seasoning. 1 bite, and I was done. My side salad had 1 black olive, 2 chucks of tomatoes, and lettuce. I asked for Italian dressing and was told they were out. My husband had the sausage gravy, eggs, and potatoes. The potatoes were boiled and mushy. They were never fried on the grill. The waitress did refill my husband's coffee but never once asked me if I would like a refill. I think the cook is only capable of preparing 1 ticket at a time. Several items on the menu were not available because it was Saturday and they wouldn't be open next week. The owner wasn't there today, and that could be the reason for the disappointed meal. Read moreHonestly, best diner experience I've had in a long while. Is there chrome? No. Are there sock hops? I don't think so, but the coffee is bold and dark (and I didn't see the bottom of my mug until we were ready to go), the pancakes are fluffy and soak up syrup, and the biscuits and gravy taste like Mom made them herself. Efficient and friendly service left nothing to be desired and, at least compared to big cities, I haven't seen prices that good in at least a decade.
