😡😡This place its not bad at all when it comes to the food taste and prices but the workers are not professional neither its the manager at all they are disrespectful loud mouthy and all you can think off when they gave the wrong food they blame it on the customer for there mistake and don’t do anything to fix it for you Had an employee get my order wrong told me to go back in ti the store that they will re make my food and guess what after my mom got there to pick it up for me cause i was already home with my kids she literally ask for the old plate something she didn’t metion at all on the phone i was on camara with my mom so i show the employee it was untouched but she said that we needed to bring the plate back in for them to practically dig out the veggies to make my order right or reuse the rice or something smh I told her she never told me that needed to be brought back she said im sorry I didn’t metion that and then she literally said but thats like in any other place food needs to he brought in for an exchange mind you never seen that and I worked at restaurant before thats literally not clean especially food save at all but i guess thats how this place runs after all that i ask to speak to the manager thinking “Hey maybe this person as a manager its more clean and respectful and responsible when it comes to her customers and how to run her store” Guess whaaat she was worse She told me it was my fault that her employee didn't tell me to bring that food back and that i needed to deal with that being loud and rude and hangs up in my face I Called the police was gonna go back to the store and get the messed up plate in and get another one but its not even worth it to take my children of 1 and 2 years with me being 6 months pregnant across town for that smh I always buy here but definitely lost a customer but service not professional and super...

Update after 9 months from previous review:

I've still been going to new orient for the past 9 months after my last review. They now give spicy food for any dish if you ask for spicy. The food is still pretty darned good for the price you pay. This is the best takeout Chinese place you can go to in Ashtabula, especially if you have a large family to feed. You get lots of leftovers from each meal for family or friends to take home with them or for yourself. I highly recommend new orient for takeout Chinese in Ashtabula.

Been going to new orient on and off for 2 years now. The portions are huge but the food quality could be a bit better. I either get sweet and sour chicken, which is an easy meal, or general tsaos. If you ask for very spicy food, most of the time the order won't be spicy. The general tsaos chicken is tasty but could be more crunchy. Beef and broccoli is great with lots of broccoli. Order a combo and you will get enough food for 2 meals. Service is great and the staff have always been helpful. I'm giving this restaurant a 5 star for value...

The general tso chicken tastes gross just ruined my whole craving. Never ate here before and have heard people say it's good but this does not taste like any general chicken I've had before. It tastes like straight up soy sauce and all pieces are tough like it's overcooked, the cheese wontons or whatever they are are gross too. Nothing tastes good not even the rice. Never again will I skip out on main moon on lake Ave that place is a 1000% better. Should of read the reviews before ordering I see this isn't something new.

To your response. Your food was trash, that's not slander it's called my opinion. Im sorry you don't like my review but I'm not the only one so it looks like you should be improving your food instead of just now responding to people reviews from 1-3yr ago and even within the last few months people are still complaining the food is nasty.
