Bella Christie's Sweet Boutique Bakery — Restaurant in Aspinwall

Bella Christies has been our go to since my wedding shower. We happened upon them while in the area looking for a custom designer and we’ve never looked back since we walked in the doors. Amanda, their event coordinator is a doll baby and brings every single vision to life. We find inspo photos and Amanda makes sure that Bella Christies delivers above and beyond. We love her and the bakery so much that we won’t deal with anyone else. We’ve had wedding cupcakes and specialty desserts made that helped to create the most beautiful cookie table. She’s done birthdays and gender reveal parties for us, baby showers, and we’re now looking to plan a first birthday with them. If you are looking for quality in products, design, and people... you don’t need to look any further than Bella Christies. We adore everything about them. We’ve been to both locations and the quality is equally amazing. When Amanda is not available for an event, the rest of her team is just as wonderful to work with. We never have to worry about a single thing when we are planning with them! And every time you visit, their locations are immaculately clean, with super friendly employees eager to help. I had really high hopes and expectations for this bakery. I was overwhelmingly disappointed with my experience. Everything started out great with the ordering process. I provide a photo of what I was requesting along with my flavor selections. I requested a purple ombre ruffle cake. Half vanilla, half chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and bavarian cream fillings. I also requested for shimmer dust to be added to the icing. I was assured that my cake would be exactly what I requested. The cake had absolutely no flavor. The bavarian cream filling was no where to be found. The shimmer dust was not in the icing and the icing layers were kinda messy. Huge disappointment. I contacted the bakery to express my disappointment and to point out the errors that were made and I was offered a $25 gift card. The 6 inch cake was $68. I could see if there was only one error with the order but there were multiple errors and I placed my order weeks before I needed it. Needless to say, this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Literally.

My cake was out of this world. I do think their wedding coordinator took on a lot so the communications pretty had, don’t expect calls back it’s easier just to stop in. I eventually stoppped in to ask about what was going on after all the emails, calls and no return contact regardless of the promises I stopped in and they finally confirmed my cake. I paid 50$ for a cake stand, which they forgot and never apologized for. Had to go back and get my cake stand. Thankfully my service was just about to start so my photographer was able to get the pictures I wanted. The cake stands are not the best for 50$ they are extremely tarnished, but for the most part the cake covered it. Not what you want to put a beautiful cake on(not to mention a work of art cause that’s what it is!) Long story short, the bakers are incredible, the customer service is not the best, I think they just need a little more communication. But man was it a beautiful cake!
