We are from the Bay Area and visit our family frequently love this restaurant for Mexican food!! We were in to have dinner with our family and the front staff was very incompetent we ordered , there was no other customers waiting to order and when we wanted to pay but front staff seemed lost and did not know how to run the payment card. And had us waiting at least 15 minutes they even took the terminal and ran to the back to ask for help no one seemed to know how to utilize it maybe they were new employees , not sure but came back to say the debit card would not go through we were so embarrassed and we knew they didn’t even swipe or tapped the card I tried but the terminal seemed to not be in working order could not read the debit card. I also tried another then the front employee states “oh we don’t take debit cards” there is no sign anywhere where this is visible we were here last month and that was not the case I asked if we could try my credit card with my Apple Pay and when I did it was fine . We sit down embarrassed as there is now a line of people waiting to order only to find that the order was incorrect we were so hungry we started to eat and waited but there was a plate missing could not believe this was happening ! Maybe employees should confirm the order prior to charging the food is fantastic but if the customer service is on top of it, it just simply is...

I randomly chose this place because the menu said they had birria tacos and I wanted to try them. The tacos were not good.( They are listed under barbacoa, but everybody calls them birria. So what are they?) There was massive amounts of cheese in the tacos with barely any meat in them. The point is to taste the meat and the consome and you can't do that with globs of cheese in it.The consomé was lukewarm and it was bland. I see all of these reviews that say these tacos are amazing and I seriously wonder if they've ever had other birria tacos to compare them to, because I would rather drive to Oxnard if I wanted some freaking bomb birria(?) tacos. The young lady that helped me was super nice and the customer service was great and the restaurant was clean, but just watch out for...

Food and service is pretty darn good. I had the carne asada plate with the ceviche. The price was excellent, and the carne asada met expectations. The ceviche was excellent. It was covered in chamoya sauce, which apparently I've never had. It looks like it would be way overwhelmingly flavorful, but it was actually the perfect combination of shrimp and sauce.

They came around with some samples ofi flan, and I was immediately sold. It was darn tasty.

There's convenient parking and the seating inside the restaurant is well spaced.

This is one of those places that I would definitely...

Tried La Parilla on a whim while in town, so glad I did. The service right away was great, very sweet and attentive staff. My chillaquiles were delicious. Crispy tortillas and a rich chile sauce. It came on a huge platter with rice, beans, sour cream and guacamole. It was way big for one person! Could definitely share next time. They also have a Salsa bar with fresh salsa, limes and jalapenos with fresh chips! All in all it was a wonderful experience and I will definitely be back!

Found out about this place through a stand they put up at a festival. The barbacoa tacos are absolutely divine. I consider myself a bit of a foodie, and I'd have to say that these rate among the best things I've eaten in California. The staff was very nice and went to great lengths to show good customer service. The place was clean and there was a very short time between ordering the food and when it arrived. Just go here and enjoy!!!
