So this location is okay with portions if you order a family meal; where they have to actually fill the serving containers. However they have found out how to keep people from ordering online, and still somehow aren't capable of managing their food supply, staff, and time. I have gone here many times over the year and thought it may be just a happenstance, but it's not. Their manager must not know how to run a business, or not care. It's almost like they're afraid to have food ready for people that come in. The waits are ridiculous, and they will give you food that has sat out for far too long.
What really peeves me is the fact that ANYTIME, not just during promotions, you cannot... get an order in online or for delivery. They have made it so only one or two items are available on the app/website for online ordering. Thus making it so you can't take advantage of online promotions and delivery. Which is frustrating. If they don't have the staff, sure, but there needs to be a better way to convey that than just being shady with the online platform. The online ordering usually only shows "sweet fire chicken" TODAY it shows that, rice and greens! Wow. Impressive.
These issues have kept me from going here, time and time over. Meaning I could have spent roughly $400 in the last several months, but have not. It's Q4... Everyone is insanely busy, stressed, and has no time for anything. So yeah, I was going to spend about that amount to make my life less stressful and more fun for my family. But I digress.
I am disappointed. Not a mean person. Just someone who has worked in fast food before and has an understanding of successful business practices.
At this rate they won't have to worry about throwing food away that sits too long because they'll be out of business. The longer they do these things, the faster they'll be out of business. Panda: Take the chance, serve fresh food, follow the corporate guidelines, and you may have a chance.

Tonight I had a horrible customer service experience that has changed my mind about Panda express standards and quality of the food at the Atascadero, CA location. I came in for beef and broccoli and noted that the current dish was not looking good. It had wilted and soggy broccoli and little beef present. The server said it would be 7 minutes to make a new one and I stepped to the side so he could serve other customers. This server C* was very messy and haphazard with his job duties . One customer ordered orange chicken and we both noticed that the server only put half a scoop in the box. When the customer pointed out his serving size and asked for more, the server said No it will be extra thats what we give. The customer did not argue further and I felt bad for him. When it came to my turn to get my beef and broccoli, they proceeded to give me the old portion instead of the freshly made order that I waited for. I told them I wanted the fresh items and he said the old portion is fresh and whatever was my opinion did not matter. I asked to speak with a supervisor to which I was told there was none present. After insisting one finally appeared but only directed me to call the number on the receipt. It makes me wonder about how this location shortchanges the customer with portion size and old food. Read moreI am never ever one to leave bad reviews, but I have never had a good experience with this location. At first I attributed their poor service to being a new location trying to figure out/work out some issues, but now I see it really is just them being incompetent.
When you walk in, you have to expect to stand in line for at least a half an hour. They are somehow always out of lots of their dishes, and at night they give up on cooking so for the last hour they’re open you get to choose from the three things they have left.
Last night I put in an online order that was supposed to be done by 6:20. It wasn’t like I ordered anything huge, just a plate and a bowl. I arrived 5 minutes after my food was supposed to be ready and it wasn’t on the online order stand, no big deal, maybe they’re just a couple minutes behind. I waited for almost 40 MINUTES for my online order. And there was a woman in the store with me who had been waiting even longer!!!
They were severely understaffed, and wouldn’t even talk to me when I was clearly walking up to try and ask about my food. And on top of all of that, they still managed to get my order wrong once they finally made it. Save yourself the time/energy/anger and just go to the one in...
