First and last time. Arrived at 8:58am and left at 9:31am, without service! I was in town due to a family emergency at the local hospital and decided to step out for breakfast with my friend. We were seated immediately, however, we were never waited on. We have watched multiple parties at the point come in and were waited on, all containing 2 or more ppl. After 20 minutes of waiting, I flagged a younger gentleman down to inquire who was our waiter. He went over to the waiter taking an order that was next to ours. Keep in mind, this family of 6 was after us. He came back over and said he thinks it's her. I asked, can we at least get coffee or water started? With a smile, he brought us the water and coffee back and apologized. The young lady stopped by our table and said "Okay he so he got you drinks" and walks off. 10 minutes pass, she stops at the party of 6 table and takes their order. I look around and notice the families seated AFTER us are eating or getting their foods at this point. We were BLATANTLY being ignored. I get up. Ask for a manager. Tall white gentle who seemed completely disengage after telling him the facts of the matter. His question was, "well are you staying or leaving".
Leadership needs training. Waiters need training. Again, I will not be back. I'm an Athens naive, I know what Saturdays and busy morning look like, especially during football season. There was no accountability and his response of "accidents happen" was purely unacceptable. Try with, I...
Read moreWe went to celebrate the Mother’s Day. Even though we were in the waiting list an hour ahead we had to wait another 30 minutes which was ok since waiting list it doesn’t mean reservation. We were given a table in the patio directly with the sun on top of us and we asked to move to another one because we had two babies, the hostesses was kinda of rude about it but at the end we were able to change, but that wasn’t the biggest issue. We ordered and we had to wait 1h for our food to come because the kitchen was short handed, plus they didn’t have food runners so half of the order that was ready was waiting at the window which resulted to receive half of our food cold and scrambled eggs to look old. My order came half, the guacamole was already turning brown and when I gave it back it was never replaced. The toddler’s order came but his side was missing and took an ll other 10 minutes to get it. One order of eggs Benedict that we had, had two sliced mushrooms under the egg. We asked from our server to tell the manager to swing by, and a gentleman if he was the manager came, he apologized but the only thing that got replaced was a side of scrambled egg. I have to tell the taste was there, our server was alright according to the circumstances but they still need a lot of improvement and definitely more people because the experience we got for a newly opened restaurant wasn’t the greatest and we will have to think about it if we will give another chance perhaps after they will be open...
Read moreHusband and I “celebrated” our wedding anniversary October 1st at your Athens, GA location. When we walked in this morning, approximately 9:30 we were asked to wait while the young gentleman cleaned a table, presumably for us. He then sat us at a dirty table in front of the bar and kitchen door. Skyler was our waitress, and was pleasant enough. We ordered omelettes with “seasoned” potatoes: I got the Floridian and my husband the Mediterranean, but first a half order of beneigts. They were hard as a rock. Omelettes came out moments later and were very good. The potatoes were not warm and not seasoned. Our drinks were never topped off. While we were eating the busboy had his dirty black bin on the chair directly in front of us. I can appreciate the need to park somewhere while you wait/rest, but literally in front of dining customers and then people who chose to sit at the bar? Not pleasant. Then when the waitress came to check on us was I asked if I wanted a Diet Coke to go. She took my debit card and the bill to the register. Where she left it and proceeded to wait on other patrons. She left my card THREE times. Certainly not a $46 breakfast dining experience and the only reason why I left a tip at all was because I know waitstaff do not make a living wage. Really, really disappointing for an upper scale breakfast. And I wrote something very similar to this on the back of my receipt this morning and a FB message. ...
