The Juicy Crab Athens — Restaurant in Athens-Clarke County Unified Government

My first time visiting and definitely will be my last. Which is sad cause I love juicy crab but I love eating at one in Duluth or snellville. I came here tonight 11/11 at 6 something and I saw coupon online for $10 no crab legs only get sausage and egg and corn and potatoes and second one $17 1 clusters crab and potato and corn well my friend and I came here tonight. The server we had Amir E(That what it says on receipt) he did offend me by saying I should read fine print. The $10 special is over with. Mind you online it says November 6 to 20th. I know what today was 11/11 and for him to make me feel like I’m in the wrong was crazy to me. I did check him and told him I didn’t like how he said that to me and made me feel like I can’t read. He did apologize several times but I couldn’t get over it because I know what I read online and on actual juicy crab website.

Also, for general manager I know he Gay and Gay people are extra. He could have been more nice about situation he was way to extra when my friend and I telling him that this was false advertisement. He was so damn extra I literally want to just walk out. I just let him talk and stayed quiet. A discount would have been nice since really came because of that deal we saw online.

When my friend asked who that was the waiter Amir said oh the one with pretty eyes. Now what does his eyes got to do with anything. All he had to do was say that was general manager.

Food was alright, my bag didn’t have a lot of sauce in it and I asked another waiter how come I didn’t have much sauce and he said that’s normally how much sauce they put in bag. FWhich is new for me cause duluth and snellville gives a lot of sauce in bag. But each place is different I guess. My first time ordering eggs cost me $5 for 3 eggs is waste of money. Eggs are so nasty never again ordering eggs from juicy crab

I will never ever come here again. We were the first customers in and were sat immediately. My daughter ordered a boil with crab, sausage, potatoes, and egg. I ordered a boil with a lobster tail, shrimp, crawfish, corn, and potatoe. We also ordered a kids chicken tender meal, cheese sticks, hush puppies, and green beans. We wanted to try a little of everything. The food was nothing compared to the quality of other locations and the lobster tail was so over done and small I literally ate it in two bites but, everyone has an off day so no biggie. I only ate about three or four pieces of my shrimp and none of my potatoes. So I combined them with the rest of my daughters sausage and eggs and took it home. My 13 year old son ate it for dinner about 5-6 pm. About four hours later I started to get an upset stomach. I though it was just from the seasoning. What I wasnt expecting was four hours later I started vomiting and dirreah over and over again. It lasted from about midnight to four in the morning. The pain in my stomach was comparable to child birth. I have never experienced that level of sickness in my life. At ten am my 13 year old son came in my bedroom and told me he had bad dirreah that started this morning and his stomach hurt so bad he wanted me to take him to the er. The only thing we ate that my daughters didnt eat was the shrimp. We spent $100 on food and tipped our waitress $20 just to spend the night hugging the toilet. Never again...

Unfortunately, we came here for my daughter’s 25th birthday dinner and the service was horrible. They had a private party in the party room that was big and it was pretty busy but I didn’t expect that we would be there for over 4 hours! We got there around 5:20 and didn’t leave until after 9pm. Service was so slow. Our server was not attentive and we had to ask the manager for drinks and refills that some people in our party were still waiting on from when they first took our drink orders. They kept getting orders incorrect and then even tried tagging an extra order of mozzarella sticks on someone’s receipt even though we never placed that order and it was the servers mistake. My husband asked for hot sauce and they never brought it. By the time we were able to find someone to ask for the hot sauce his food was cold. The seafood boils didn’t arrive till almost 7:25. The server never gave us our gloves, bibs or crab leg crackers. We had to wait even longer to eat our food for them to bring that out and we also only had one bucket for a party of 8 to share. Because we were a party of 8 they charged everyone gratuity but the service wasn’t even good enough to have paid any additional money. Honestly, I will never come here again. I’d much rather go to Hook and Reel instead. The food wasn’t even good after all that, barely any flavor...
