Barberitos — Restaurant in Athens-Clarke County Unified Government

The food is always so fresh and tasty. There are some very healthy choices which is important to many people right now. My family chose to eat here after church and I was very pleased that despite the long line (which we expect to encounter at 12:30 pm on Sunday at almost every restaurant) the staff was awesome and took care of everyone waiting, as well as prepared all of the online & call in orders, in a very short time. I know, from experience working in food service, that it is sometimes overwhelming to have so many hungry people waiting to be served, but the staff didn't seem like they were overwhelmed by it at all. They have a very well designed system so that guests are helped quickly without feeling rushed at all. The restaurant is also exceptionally clean (the restrooms were spotless as well) which is one of the most important factors when deciding whether or not a return trip is possible! The only other reason I gave 5 stars (which is a little dorky but some people will totally understand!!!) is because they have the most perfect ice. RACIST ESTABLISHMENT! PPL OF COLOR BEWARE! THIS ALL TOOK PLACE ON FRI, JULY 28TH AROUND 5PM!

This was by far the WORST experience I've ever had at a restaurant! Where do I begin!?!? Upon entry I realized the resturant was disgusting and swarming with FLIES! I wasn't greeted and the staff seemed inexperienced and hostile. The young and entitled WHITE girl didn't want to assist me, she instead appointed/insisted that the HISPANIC girl start my order because she didn't want to serve a BLACK MAN(she was standing there trying to LOOK busy so she wouldn't have to serve me). After the HISPANIC girl started to assist me with my choice of burrito and meat, she then slid the burrito down to the next station where it sat for about FIVE MINUTES...while the entire staff RAN to assist the WHITE lady behind me (even the entitled white girl). They even had the nerve to smirk as they intentionally ignored me! After all that, I simply chose to walk out and take my business elsewhere! Whoever owns/runs this establishment should be ashamed and embarrassed! Your STAFF and these POOR reviews are a reflection/ representation of YOU! AND I filed...

My daughter and I went in for food at approximately 6:30 pm on March 16,2020 and we both were disgusted by the staff person with long red hair mopping the floor very close to the food bar. (the messy gray matter on the floor was gross)

The food bars were both pushed close to the grills/stoves until where the other staff person barely had room to prepare our orders. A few minutes later the red-head proceeded to push the food bars back into place she stood really close to the one fixing my food as she sang over my food. I stared at her to get her attention as to what she had done wrong and she dropped her head.

Lastly the condiment bar was in disarray with boxes of supplies scattered all over the counter. I made my drink but couldn’t find the right lid for it anywhere. Also the sauce bar was not stocked at all.
