Always check your order before you leave ALWAYS, I can’t stress this enough! Always check before you leave the drive thru window!!! Lord knows that night crew does not care about making people wait in that line. I live on east side and have gone to this store for years, but the past few months every time I order something to go or drive thru, it is ALWAYS the wrong order. Chicken wings are awful now and much smaller yet more expensive. The price is not worth the stress of ordering food here. I know it’s only fast food and I shouldn’t be expecting 5 star service/food, but they could at least get the order right.
The workers all seem to hate it there, understandably so, but one is very pleasant to deal with every time my order is wrong. She’s the very pretty, short black girl with braids (i think) and with a few blonde highlights, wore her hair in a low bun tonight. She is always very sweet when dealing with orders issues. The last few times I’ve been there, she is the one that helps me and is always very kind . I hate giving the workers a hard time when I have to tell them my order is wrong, but $16 for burnt fries, burnt toast, 5 overcooked/undercooked wings, and 3 tenders that are always too small- the least i expect is to get the correct order. I’ve worked in food service and I know how awful it is. They deserve a better and more organized work environment.
Whatever this thing is they’re doing in the drive thru, is a mess. Taking an order and then making the person at the speaker wait there until they finish with the person at the window is ridiculous and makes the parking lot difficult to get around when they’re busy. The longest I’ve waited was 36 minutes, I was wearing pj’s and didn’t want to go inside looking like a crackhead. I’ve wasted so much time having to get my order corrected, most of the time I don’t go back to get it fixed, only recently have I had enough of spending money on items I’m not even receiving. I am not going there anymore though. It’s ridiculous Anyway, check your food if you’re not eating there!
Zaxby’s management please don’t bother with a reply, your most recent reviews are complaining ab the same things and you’ve still done nothing...
Read moreI had a less-than-great experience at the Zaxby's on S. Barnett Shoals. This was my first time visiting a Zaxby's in five years. A friend and I went through the drive-through; both of us ordered the "House Zalad" and a side of fried pickles to share. We were the only car in line and the service was fast, but the two employees at the window were staring at us for an uncomfortable amount of time; one employee even glowered at my friend while they were looking away. We felt incredibly unwelcome and uncomfortable. As someone who has worked and trained others in food service, I find it disappointing that, in 2021, management at nationwide establishments such as Zaxby's aren't training their staff to be tolerant and friendly towards people of all walks of life.
An already upsetting experience in the drive-through was worsened when we received our "Zalads," which were quite small for what the menu describes as "Big Zalads," which also happen to cost over eight dollars each. I didn't even try the fried pickles, which I was genuinely looking forward to tasting, which were soggy and limp; it was not a very appetizing rendition of the classic Southern snack. I will, however, say that the grilled chicken on my salad was surprisingly pleasant and moist, whereas many other fast food chains serve dry chicken. I also enjoyed the light vinaigrette that I ordered with the salad, which was acidic and refreshing. Unfortunately, the negatives very much outweighed the positives in this situation. I might be willing to give Zaxby's another try, but definitely not at...
Read moreThis place was horrible! As we were sitting in line, the person in front of us gave one of the workers their tumbler cup, I guess to fill up with ice. The lady working the window took it, filled it up, and gave it back to them. Once we got up there, they told us something was wrong with the machine and if we could use cash. Thankfully, I had some from having to go to a laundromat the night before, otherwise I would have been out of luck. Then she gave us our drinks and told us to pull up to wait for our food. We waited for around 15 minutes and still nothing. My friend had to get out and get their attention from the window to see what was taking so long. Five more minutes and they brought the food. When we got home, only 4 minutes from Zaxby's, the food was cold and it looked and felt like they took old chicken and fried it again. I took one bite, deciding it was not something I was about to eat, considering the money and time I had spent waiting for it. My friend took it back up there to get a refund. I stayed at the house. I don't know what exactly happened because I wasn't there myself. He said that when he went back, he asked for a manager. They didn't have one until morning to come back at 10 am, and they would give me a 30 dollar refund and any meal I wanted, so that was nice, but also I'm not really a Zaxby's at 10 am kinda person. He also said while he was there he could see people vaping in the back through the kitchen window and another person with his hand in his pants, so I won't be going back to...
