This place is horrible!! We were seated quickly, but the temperature in the section we were in was so cold, we immediately started shivering and sneezing. At no point were we asked if we wanted refills, our server brought the check to our table within a few minutes of our meals coming out. They got the meals wrong and didn't listen when we ordered as my companion ordered a 1 trip salad bar and he put her on the all-you-can-eat salad bar. As such, when she packaged her food, which she wasn't able to eat because it was an ice box, they adjusted our bill (without letting us know) to add $15 to the bill because she "packaged her food despite not being able to leave with it as her meal had the all you can eat" salad bar. When the manager came up, he had an attitude and basically told us they've dealt with this a lot and if they didn't do it this way, they would be out of business because of how people would take the salad bar food with them. When we commented how cold it was, we were told we could have asked a server or employee to turn the temp down at any point (seeing as how we only saw our server when he was taking our order or dropping off our food that would have made it difficult). The manager's last comment before walking away from us was "is this how she acts at a Chinese buffet?" to the few employees who were around, along with everyone else that was present, including myself. Absolutely disrespectful and rude!!! I would recommend if you want a pleasant dining experience that you avoid...
Read moreEh! The kid working the door that greeted me was amazing. Super friendly and great attitude! Unfortunately, it was downhill from there. I sat at the bar as I was dining alone and the bartender was alright. Friendly enough, but I did ask for a water with my meal that I never got. The spicy bloody mary was ok and that is par for the course up here. The food was really disappointing though. I tried the Seafood Bisque and it was horrible!!! Served in a crock, was SUPER thick, like to the point it tasted like it had been reheated a countless number of time. I took one or two bites and pushed it away. To their credit, the bartender noticed, solicited my opinion, and took off the bull without me explicitly asking him to. I wouldn't have asked, but it is nice when they do. I also had the smashed potatoes with bourbon glazed butter and they were also not very good. Way too sweet! The glaze butter was runny and tasted nothing like butter. More like a thin and warm maple syrup over the potatoes with cheese melted on top. To each his own, but I did not find this appetizing. Salad bar was ok but nothing spectacular. French fries with gravy weren't good. Fried chicken was the best part but all in all I was super disappointed. I may give it another shot but I'm...
Read moreAlmost zero vegan options. $25 for the a buffet?!?!?!? So minimum wage worker has to work I'm bad at math 3-and-a-half hours to afford this buffet before taxes. OK things are expensive I get it. I went to the $30 buffet at Salamanca Reservation Casino the day before and I DID complain about the price there too, but they literally had EVERYTHING in their buffet, more than you could ever dream of and VEGAN OPTIONS and lemons in the water just like Tioga Downs Casino. Here at good old Beemans you dont get lemons in the water, you barely get anything at all and the tables are TINY and everyone is squished inside and blocking each other's table. Plus instead of everything being in the buffet here you can ORDER stuff off the menu. Why wouldn't EVERYTHING BE IN THE BUFFET FOR $25?!?!?!? Good lord. Basically you're paying for a salad bar and some mac and cheese and a slice of meat and biscuits.
I would bet both my arms that BOTH CHINESE BUFFETS within 500 feet of here are NOWHERE NEAR $25 these days and are both better with more options and more space and nicer decor. They are definitely bigger. Havent been there in a while because my family insists on coming here? SOMEONE explain it to me. Why do people come here?!?!?! I...
