Cat's Corner — Restaurant in Athens

The new facelift for the old Cat's Den bar looks great. They're going to have to put sound baffles on the ceiling or something to muffle the noise. The place wasn't even that busy on opening night, but it was so loud you couldn't carry on a conversation without yelling. The music, beer selection , and complete lack of food are all detractors....

Nice clean atmosphere for the most part. Some of the tenders did not have the best personalities. Their beverages are price tad bit too much. But they seem to be offering more incentives for people to come in. They replace the bar that was hard to replace. At the old bar it was like cheers. Just a great place together. Doesn't seem that way...

Clean bar, but generic, mediocre experience. Besides serving local pizza, the bar just seems kind of generic. They are not offering tasters during brew week, and it really seems like they just should not have participated in the event. There are better local bars in Athens to drink at.
