Came here middle of July On a weekday evening, did not have to wait for a table. Service right away got our tea & water. Some Hot Big rolls! Then we ordered & did not take along time. I got the Tialapi with steamed veggies.. Ask for hot crispy fries 🍟 Waitress noticed not right & ask me did I want them cook another batch, I said yes, Thank you. You get two filets & I always save one to take home. My Partner ordered the Cobb salad with grilled chicken (it comes in a big bowl) & their special Advocado ranch dressing. I also get some Advocado ranch to dip fries in really good! We really enjoyed our meals!

Feb 14 2020 It was very busy! Valentine's Day No waiting to be seated! Then the service was very quick & did not have to wait any longer to get food! I got the tilapia again & ask not to be blackened! It came out perfect! My boyfriend for salmon & very pleased! They have the best steamed veggies! Not buttery or oily! Love them! We were very pleased ! March 1st 2019 Back again for my Birthday, a day late. But as always very friendly servers & they check on you to see how things are! I got the Tilapia but did not want it blackened so it came out very good over a bed of brown rice, I also got the steamed vegetables & I got sweet potatoes fries! Loved them so good & crunchy! I will get them again! My boyfriend Got a rib eye steak, salad baked potato loaded & some fried okra! Didn't hear any complaints, just are it all! They have the best rolls, warm & little sweetness! I had leftovers as usual & got a box & sack ! We will be coming back for sure!

WE were here 1-27-19 We love coming here! There is a wide variety of food! I like to get the Grilled Tilapia with Lemon Herb seasoning! You can get it either a one piece over brown rice & steamed veggies! Or two piece same way but you get two sides and only a small difference in price! This way I can bring home half dinner for leftovers! Soo Good! Very nice waitress & waiters! They make sure everything is ok & if you need anything else they take care of you! With a smile! They also bring out warm rolls & whipped butter! If you want more they get them for you! They have several dinners that are lower calorie! We love Cotton Patch, it’s a go to spot for comfort food and a good value for the dollar. Tonight we experienced one of our lowest valued visits, we arrive at 8:40 pm, they close at 10:00. When we walked in, party of four, we weren’t immediately greeted but the hostess soon came out of the restroom and appeared to be cleaning up. The dining area was at about 20% of capacity and several servers appeared to be busy cleaning, sweeping up and the kitchen crew appeared to be in clean up mode as well. We ordered drinks, received our drinks, no straws but were told that we would get them with the silverware packs that they were short of at the moment because they had been so busy. Server comes back to take the order, still no straws or silverware, brings rolls back with silverware packs. No napkins. Normal to a little longer than wait time for food, asked for napkins, brings three, dig into the anticipated warm food but its not. Barely lukewarm, like showing up at Moms late for Sunday dinner at 2:30. One person ordered a salad, never got it. Had to go ask for napkins again and for ketchup and ranch, brings over and apologizes. Recognized that the salad was missing, promises to grab it. We finished up, full but not exactly happy, server comes over and asks is everything okay, “not really and heres why....”. Manager comes over, full explanation, offers to comp meal, not necessary, but he’ll discount it, get the bill and it’s full price. This review isn’t to steer anyone away, it’s a good place to eat, this review is to help one of our favorite places recognize an issue. You’re open until Ten, don’t start putting employees into shut down mode until your customers are done. I didn't initially have the highest expectations from a small chain restaurant on the way to the Blueberry Festival in Nocogdoches. But, that was a mistake on my part.

Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. Our appetizer of fried jumbo mushrooms were well prepared. Then we got to the main courses.

My wife's salmon was tasty and arrived hot. My surf and turf was mixed. The steak and garlic mashed potatos were delicious and hot. My fried shrimp and French fries were barely at room temperature. But, they made up for it!

The waitress came and checked in on us about 3 minutes after we were served and when I told her that I was happy with the steak and potatoes but not with the other items, she didn't hesitate to take action. She immediately went to the kitchen to have them prepare the two items again then came back to apologize. By the time I was done with the steak and mashed potatoes, sure was at the table with the two other freshly cooked items. They were delicious too!

I'm an easy-going guy and I was happy with her response but then the manager came by to check in and I told him we were satisfied with our service and how well the waitress handled the small issue. He then proceeded to offer us a complimentary dessert for our trouble. That went way beyond our expectations! We've been to fine dining restaurants for our anniversaries and birthdays but not all of those places are the same level of service as this Cotton Patch Cafe!
