Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Athens

First of all the door on the right was nasty nasty. The glass was dirty and the door itself. Got in there was a guy at the font that took my order and his pants was hanging below his bottom. I ordered two spicy pieces of chicken…a thigh and a leg, beans and rice and Cajun fries. There was this short heavy set lady in jeans walking around like her head was cut off. There were two orders on the screen mine I assume and someone else’s. Her head was not in the game she seemed confused . So there was two other people there maybe three. The third at the drive thru. The cook I assume and the front guy w his pants down. All were confused. The lady in the jeans was in the front of the chicken then the back continuously .I did not see but one tray of chicken and it did not look spicy. I thought I need to ask for a refund and get out of here. I waited and waited the woman is taking continuously to the employees . Finally after like 10 min I was handed a sack and a receipt . I said I’d this mine? The pants down guy said yes. I should have looked before I left the store. I did not. I hated to touch the nasty door. Got over to my nail appt parking lot. Open the sack because I had just enough time to eat a little. What I had in my bag was a chicken sandwich and beans/rice and mashed potatoes. I called the store a young man answered told me there was not a manager to speak w. I told him let me speak to the woman in the blue jeans I had to hold. I told her what happened she gave me excuses she’s trying to get her team in line. My opinion she can not lead herself much less anyone else. There was TWO orders on her screen. I told her my order was not checked. I was given the correct ticket but the Aron foot. All of a sudden she hung up on me. After my nail appointment I went over to get the owner or manager of that store. They would not give me the name or #. So I guess if there was a mishap they would not know who to call. She denied hanging up on me. Denied and denied. Ok well I guess I’m lying and all of a sudden the phone was disconnected and it wasn’t on my end. I asked for the # and name again she left the front and came back w the store # and the young man agave me a name Mrs Tressa? So first flag the nasty door second the young man that couldn’t keep is pants up third….the person in charge appears to be confused and not in charge when they were not even busy. If the door is that nasty I assume I need to call the health department because the kitchen is probably nasty as well. I do not cuss so no words like that were exchanged. I will never...

The quality of food was awesome as well as the service. We went through the drive thru the other day before our 2 hour trip to help move someone in our family and decided to grab some food real quick. Lately the lines have been crazy but apparently got there before the rush. We had five cars in front of us which wasn't bad. We ordered a five piece tender meal for me and my wife to share. After we paid and right before we left the parking lot we noticed we got the wrong order. My wife went inside showed our receipt and the order we recieved and the girl who helped her was super awesome. For the inconvenience she let us keep the wrong order gave us our actual order plus a few extra pieces of chicken for the trouble and two cinnamon sugar apple pies. The food was ridiculously good and the pies were amazing. Great service, great food. Thank ya'll so much I know the mistake was made and they made up for it ten times fold. Definitely will be going back real soon like....

The food was typical Popeyes. It was fresh and hot and the atmosphere was the same as always. They have good food. Definetly one of my favorite chicken places. If you've never tried their blackened tenders you really should. Very Good!!! What really stood out was the manager Blaine. He was super friendly and very customer service oriented. He went above and beyond and for that I definitely give them 5 stars, I would give them 10 if it was available. So whoever owns this location you made a very good decision hiring him. It is obvious that he has a lot of empathy and compassion as a person and that is not common to find in people these days. I even tried to give him a tip for being so friendly and helpful, and he wouldn't accept it because he said he wouldn't feel right accepting it. That made him even more of a stand-up person than I already...
