Masters of their own Mayhem here poor comunication within the entire operation which leads to misleading information to the general public you serve!!!! I f I could give this place a .25 I would. BA will only allow a 1 as a low score. Jackie O's has some first class beers that is not the problem. The problem is the head of this horse has no clue what the backside is doing and they are rude and arrogant people. People drive several hours to try and buy some of their beers and should not be treated the way I was or other patrons that I saw there were. We called ahead to find out what the limits were and I emailed them as well. We were told 6 per person per day on the BBA Black Maples and 2 per day on the RBA Oil of Aphrodite on 10/3/14 and this is exactly what my email stated as well from JackieO's. A friend of mine was at Jackie O's the previous week on Fri. the 26th of Sept. and purchased exactly that amount 6 BBABM's and 2 RBAOA's. I texted him just to confirm and this was the case. When we got to the brewery that purposely has no operational phone so that you could ask the horse exactly what the limits are in the bar area. So we place our orders for 6 BBBM's and 2 RBAOA's and the jerk behind the bar starts talking at the top of his voice SIR SIR you can not order that much of the BBABM's like I was suposed to know that. I said excuse me we were told that you could and I also showed him the email stating such and he rolls his eye's like I don't care what that say's and states this as well and that this has been the limit for two months now. I know that this is false because I checked with my buddy and he purchased 6 BBABM's the previous week and he texted me the picture as he still has all of them. So I was completely being lied to. And this guy knows that I know he is a Liar he doesn't even hide it well as his face turns beet red. And say's this is what it's going to be and you can have two Black Maples per person Ok fine. Now here get a clue first your web page states that you are out of RBAOA as of 10/3/14 and said you had it on 10/2/14 as per your website and confirme in my email. This is false they would sell us as much as we wanted on 10/4/14 so the people that keep your website status up has no real clue what type of inventory you really do have No Comunication!!!! Why should I be shocked by this put a phone in you Morons it's time to come screaming into the 20th century. And then in another century or so you can get a computer in the brewery so they can keep the inventory updated and accurate as to what you have and what you really don't. You can also network them so that your website will always be up to date on inventory so the person that updates the site will have access to that information right at their fingertips!!!! And secondly put the limits on the website so that there is no confusion between the general public and your third rate operation. The bottom line comunication is the key and quite frankly it is piss poor throughout the entire operation. Is the beer worth all of this aggrivation? NO!!! There are way two many quality beers out today to be willing to make a drive here to get them in PonDunk no place and deal with the arrogance and the nonsense if you can go elsewhere. You can get just as good of quality beer and more of it elsewhere. At $11.99 for a 12.7 ounce beer the price point is way to high when most will give you 22 ounces bottled at that price point and better beers as well. It's just not worth it to be lied to and talked at the...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Jackie O's, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. The highlight of my meal was the ramen soup, which was absolutely delicious. I opted for the ramen with kimchi, mushrooms, corn, carrots, and chili, and it was a flavor explosion in every bite. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the combination of ingredients created a perfect balance of textures and tastes.
In addition to the ramen, I also had the pleasure of trying their ribeye, and it did not disappoint. Cooked to perfection, the ribeye was tender, juicy, and bursting with flavor. It was a true delight for the taste buds and a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs at Jackie O's.
The ambiance of the restaurant was another aspect that stood out to me. The decor was a perfect blend of old-school charm and industrial aesthetics, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere. It was a place where you could relax and enjoy your meal while immersing yourself in the surroundings.
The staff at Jackie O's were incredibly friendly and attentive. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and well taken care of. They were knowledgeable about the menu, offering recommendations and ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was enjoyable.
Overall, my experience at Jackie O's was exceptional. From the delicious ramen soup to the perfectly cooked ribeye, every dish was a testament to the culinary expertise of the chefs. The old-school and industrial decor added to the overall charm of the restaurant, and the attentive staff made me feel like a valued guest. I highly recommend Jackie O's to anyone looking for a memorable...
Read moreThey have a good variety of beers from light to dark. This is the best thing about Jackie Os. I'd recommend the pawpaw wheat for something light and fruity or dark apparition for something stout. I've gone here for 13+ years and they can be really friendly or not at all. Over the years the service has ranged from A+ to horrible. Honestly it feels like the service depends on how "hip/trendy" you're dressed. It's a little above average in cleanliness compared to most Athens bars. The menu is pretty good and consistent.. the cheese curds and Neanderthal Pizza are the best. Sometimes they have specialty items that are pretty decent. If you aren't drinking beer its probably not the best place because I've seen a little bias towards non-beer drinkers.. stupid but unfortunately true. Also, there are two sides. I'd recommend the the right side/larger side. They're a little nicer. I've been in the left side/i think it's the pub side and they're rude. Pub/left side also doesn't display priced and I've had them totally overcharge for wine and have heard other patrons talking about my selection saying, "I should go elsewhere if I'm not drinking the beer." My lower star rating is based upon how badly the staff has acted. I've been here on new years and was treated pretty badly and overcharged for wanting a glass...
