This place used to be so good. Now, it's just a ran down dump. When my son and I ate there, it was apparent that the employees didn't want to be there. The pizza was ok, but the building interior is disgusting. The ceiling is caving in, the AC Unit is leaking water that drips onto the carpet. There's black mold all over the ceiling. There was no pizza on the buffet which is probably a good thing because it took a while to get our drinks. 25$ for an adult and one child, and only 1 drink, you would think they could clean the place up a bit. I won't be going back

Athens Texas Bucket List - read a quote on the wall from Ken, "as long as you make a perfect pizza the first time, your customers will be happy"... so true, my wife and kids and I ate here - great service, and the deep dish supreme was off the charts with a crispy crust and cooked to perfection. I remember the days when Ken's had a joint in Commerce Texas - A' spot to grab a bite!!!

This is a good place to get a pizza buffet. The building is kind of old and dated. The buffet is small but has decent choices. Their is also a decent salad bar. The pizza tastes good and not old. My toddler son liked the food, and it was a reasonable price. Well come back again.

Just went to get dinner with my gf and our son, paid 43 dollars for a buffet that only had 3 old pizzas out and no lettuce for the salad bar. They charged us adult price for my son(3years old) buffet. Me and my gf got to eat a shared salad and my son got to eat 2 pieces of old pizza. We were being patient and waiting as they had a large order of over 30 pizzas ordered. After about 15 mins we asked for pizza to be put out and they told us they had them in the oven. The large order showed up to pick up at this time and only half of their order was done. They were told that they weren’t working on anything else but their order. After 45 mins of waiting me and another person who they let pay for buffets knowing they couldn’t fill it walked up to the counter to ask about refunds since they couldn’t put pizza out. At this point the 5 employees who had been standing around in a circle talking and playing on their phones tells both of us that we need to calm down and pizzas for the buffet are in the oven(the whole time the large order customer was being told his pizzas were in the oven). Me and the other customer told them we wouldn’t have minded if they told us this before taking our money so we could go get dinner elsewhere or at the beginning instead of saying their would be pizza out in 10 mins, the employees told us it wasn’t their fault it was the cooks(the literal only employee actually working) as the others start pointing at him saying it’s his fault. At this point I was ready to just get my money back and stop hearing excuses, but they couldn’t even do that. The girl working the counter told me she couldn’t give me a refund and that I would have to talk to a shift lead manager. When I asked to speak to the shift lead I just got blank stares as an employee who has just been standing there slowly walks up and tells the girl thanks for throwing me under the bus. The shift lead(manager) after getting mad at her employees who she allowed to cause this mess then told me I wouldn’t be getting a refund and if I wanted to call on Monday and talk to the store manager I could. I then asked for a receipt for proof of me being there for the call on Monday and had to wait another 10 mins as every employee said they didn’t know how to give me a receipt and the only person who could sat on the phone laughing while they all stared at her waiting for her to do it. Kens pizza used to be the best place in town. We’ve had several other issues the past few times but are patient as the pizza and service has always been good even if it’s slow. After this incident we will never pay a dime to people who can’t care less about their customer enough to make sure they have proper training for employees or at least enough care to schedule someone of authority with the 6 kids who stand on their phone and pretend to not know how to...

We stopped at Ken's pizza in Athens TX on our way home on a Friday evening. (3 adults and 3 kids) They serve a buffet on Fridays so we thought"YAY" quick, easy, who doesn't like pizza. (WE THOUGHT WRONG). The staff was NOT friendly. There was very little pizza on the buffet.( No pepperoni, one slice of a 2 meat, 2 slices of Supreme and the rest were empty pans.) I asked about pepperoni pizza and was told it was going to be about 10 minutes because one customer took the whole pizza. 23 minutes later they put out 2 pans of dessert pizza. The other 2 adults asked again about pepperoni and were both told the same story as before by a different people. I feel quite confident in saying that I will not go there again. I spent almost $60 and everyone at our table only got a salad and the cheesy bread. In my opinion this reflects very poorly on the management team and training process the young associates. While sitting around waiting on what we thought would be pepperoni pizza, I noticed that the ceiling had severe water damage on several of the tiles and several lights needed to be replaced. This was NOT a pleasant...

Whenever going into Ken's, You will not be terribly impressed visually. Looks like a standard pizza parlor. However, the magic happens in the food itself and the customer service. everyone that I've spoken to in there has been absolutely polite in every way that I can imagine. They've been extremely service oriented. And it genuinely seems like they enjoy their daily job. And in a large way they made me feel welcome. I never felt neglected. Something that commonly happens in my experience with other restaurants.

The food also stands out. Their buffet has a wide variety of different types of pizza and I never barren. Even several vegetarian options. A dessert pizza of course for the kids. Okay well maybe for me too lol. They have a wonderful salad bar that is expressive in several different ways. And they also have different types of pasta and other bread products of an American Italian style. My wife recently got one of their pizzas that was with a white sauce. It was insanely good. So much so that I'm willing to change my standard pizza spot for that one whenever I need something unique. All in all,...
