Texas Cafe Athens — Restaurant in Athens

I’ll have to admit that the food for the most part is actually pretty excellent however as a customer the service had always been not so great! Then as a server there…it’s the worst experience a person could have. Especially one with prior experience, responsibilities and just flat out cares!!!! I don’t do cut throat work nor do I care for the lazy immature workers plus the attitudes and the owner taking tables! You’re not going to keep a good person when you right yourself a check from your own business but your also covering tables and taking money from your workers!!! Just not a good place it to mention the smoking in the back! They just don’t care! And I mean smoking literally inside the building...

I'm not sure how there are positive reviews about this place, but I bet it's people who are working there. When my grandma, so, and I walked in and we were 'welcomed', if that's what you want to call it, by a very unpleasant women who would be our waitress. We ordered a hamburger, philly sandwich, and a cheese enchilada plate, which all tasted so horrible we didn't eat our food and then had to pay 40$ bucks. I'll give them one thing, their tea and hot sauce weren't too bad, but everything else in their restaurant SUCKS. I can't believe anyone would eat there regularly, and kind of look forward to when they go out...

The staff was very rude. I Ordered coffee and it was cold. when I complained she said she could get me something else but would have to charge me for both. So I got tea and it tasted stale like it had sat for days or the container hadn't been washed properly. Then i had to wait half an hour for my food which was really cold and had to remind the waitress multiple times to bring my daughters food. Then had to wait another 20 minutes for hers and her French toast was covered in burnt egg so she wouldn't eat it. my food was very bland had no...
