Tucked away in the heart of Midtown Atlanta, Bangkok Thai Restaurant is a hidden gem that offers a taste of authentic Thai cuisine. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by the warm and inviting aroma of spices, instantly transporting you to the bustling streets of Bangkok.
The restaurant's cozy atmosphere and friendly staff make you feel right at home. We were a group of nine, and they were happy to accommodate us with a spacious table at the back of the restaurant. The extensive menu features a wide variety of dishes, from traditional favorites like pad thai and curries to more adventurous options for those seeking a spicier experience.
I opted for the Hot Green Curry, and it was a revelation. After years of searching, I finally found a restaurant that could deliver the authentic heat I craved. The curry was packed with flavor, and the portion size was generous. My friends were equally impressed with their choices, raving about the Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and Massaman Curry.
While the restaurant's interior might not be the most modern, it's clean and comfortable, and the focus is clearly on the food. The friendly and attentive staff made our dining experience even more enjoyable. They were knowledgeable about the menu and were happy to make recommendations.
Overall, Bangkok Thai Restaurant is a hidden gem that deserves to be discovered. If you're looking for authentic Thai cuisine in a cozy and inviting atmosphere, this is the place for you. Just be prepared for some serious heat if you order the Hot...
Read moreI am highly disappointed with this place. I specially called them on Tuesday 5/13 for a Thursday night reservation. At first, he said that we didn't need a reservation, but after hearing it was for a party of 11, he took down my name.
On Thursday, the bartender was extremely rude and condescending. There was lack of concern or offer any solutions. In a rather, he was busy, gaslighting me saying I called the wrong place, and made a mistake because there are multiple bangkok title restaurants. I, specially, called this place and I said I could give you the timestamp of when I called, he didn't care. He continued on saying it wasn't him who took the reservation and I shouldn't take it out on him. He said I was banned from going there. I have never deal with this kind of customer service, and I never treated anyone like this while I was a restaurant manager.. Not once did I hear an apology, and for you to say I am not welcomed.
I feel bad for the owners to have staff like this, you guys allow him to talk to your customers this way. He is there to represent your establishment, but this aggressive attitude will ruin your company. No worries, my group of 11 had a great experience at...
Read moreI was very sadden to learn that ownership of this restaurant changed last year as I was a patron of 15+years and loved everything about the restaurant, the owner knew my name, Family, etc. I have since had the opportunity to visit the “New Bangkok Thai” twice. I was very disappointed because 90% of the traditional Thai dishes had been stripped from the menu and there were just fewer options all together, and very small portion sizes. Several months after my first visit, I came back hoping they reverted back to the old menu but I am still disappointed in the menu choices. Who know the same Sesame Chicken I can get from 50 other fast food type Asian restaurant throughout the city is considered a authentic Thai recipe as advertised by their new sign, smh. Also it took them a few months to reopen during the management transition, I assumed I would walk into a completely renovated Bangkok, but all they did was throw up some paint, add a few fake plants & light fixtures, but kept same old tables and chairs and carpet. I just really miss the old restaurant and favors :-( . That will...
