Edit: June 2024: I went to Cloonee with my boyfriend, already expecting it be slammed. DISTRICT OWNERS: PLEASE stop overselling your venue!! It is becoming SO unsafe AND NOT ENJOYABLE and your venue is NOT large enough to accommodate the amount of tickets you sell (not including the people that pay your security guards to get into the venue). No people can move anywhere in your venue (having sanctions in the back as a âwalkwayâ limits the amount of space for an already oversold venue). We used to frequent District for the past 4 years, and now we refuse to buy upcoming show tickets, no matter who the artist is. Another greed money hungry âclubâ in Atlanta that targets the EDM community. Your âVIPâ is the biggest ripoff since more than half of the upstairs railing is blocked off, and that is no where mentioned on the VIP tickets when purchasing them. Also, $22+ for a 12oz can of Corona and High Noon is outrageous!! Note to customers: they charge 20% gratuity on all drink receipts..
Dec 2022: Iâve been to this venue 10+ times, and always have fun no matter who the artist is. VIP at District always seems like itâs a hit or a miss, depending on who the artist is/how many tickets theyâve sold. The past few times Iâve gone, my boyfriend and I bought VIP to avoid the crowd on the ground floor, since big artists (Camelphat and Chris Lake) were going to draw a large crowd.
We bought VIP tickets for my birthday with Habstrakt on Oct 2021, and they told us that VIP was âclosed,â AKA they didnât sell enough tickets for this show. We were given 2 free drink vouchers instead. This was frustrating for me because I didnât want to be in the crowd on the main floor, I wanted to stand up in the balcony and enjoy my birthday. The 2 free drink vouchers didnât even cover what we paid for VIP tickets, so we refuted the charge with our bank.
For Camelphat, people stood all the way around on the balcony, as to be expected. So last night for Chris Lake, I expected the same. Nope, the balcony was roped off the whole area facing the stage, leaving the sides of the balcony with about 10 feet on both sides. It was super disappointing paying $75+ for VIP being guaranteed balcony standing space, when the majority of it was saved for people who bought tables.
I understand the business model of the more people buying tables equals more $$$ for the venue, but it left a scummy feeling for the rest of people who bought VIP and spent their money to escape the crowd on the main floor (which looked so uncomfortable and packed like sardines) and not even having a good view of the stage. The majority of the railing that was blocked off wasnât even being used, so there was a lot of space that VIP could be spread out more.
There was a âtableâ behind us, and two groups refused to sit there since people were standing in front of them. The areas on the side became too crowded to walk through because of the bottlenecking of the roped off sections. Somebody ended up moving the âtableâ behind us since it became too much of a walking hazard.
I really wish District at least advertised that part of the balcony was going to be roped off for tables, since I, and many others, did not feel like a very important person last night...
Read moreOk so here goes. I don't go clubbing. I went on Friday night dec.06 2024. To see will sparks perform. I don't listen to techno music like that to know about him. But I went with an open mind and never been to District. I needed to get out and putyind somewhere else so I went and the girls at the door were friendly and inviting. The cover charge was more than I was anticipating but I already committed this far and they were so pleasant I gladly paid. When I stepped inside I instantly felt like a boss. The atmosphere was incredible. The crowd was jumping. The music was loud and the bass was banging. I approached the bar for a red bull and the woman was very polite and even charged me less for the red bull. I stood by a v.i.p section and the bouncer there was cool as hell. Big dude offered for me to have my own little v.i.p section free of charge! I gladly accepted his offer and found myself yet again feeling like a king! Had my own wall outlet to charge my phones lol a call girl walked by and asked if I wanted anything to drink I asked for another red bull and she gave it to me free of charge!!! Am I dreaming?? This place has treated me better than anyone has in a very long time! I'm there watching the crowd enjoying themselves and that was nice! But by this point I had to use the restroom and I asked the big guy if I would be able to return to the section he allowed me to sit for free and he said of course. After I used the restroom the gentleman inside pumped soap in my hand and turned the faucet on for me to wash my hands and handed me some towelettes to dry. I felt bad for not having any cash so I went to the ATM to get some to tip him. This place made me feel like I was royalty!!!! I noticed another bar by the ATM so I went over there to where it leads outside for a smoke. When I finished smoking I came back in and ordered a coke and rum. After the bartenderade it I explained I was breaking my sobriety that night with that drink. She immediately said no way am I selling this to you and poured it out. She was so friendly. Didn't allowe to break my sobriety. I went to pay for another red bull but she gave it to me for free. She was such a a sweetheart for what she's done to look out for me. I went back to the restroom to tip the gentleman there. Back to my v.i.p section and tipped the call girl for the other red bull. Tipped both bouncers there and enjoyed the rest of my night there. I want to go back!!!!! For the pricey cover charge I got way more than my money's worth and I don't think I'd ever get the same treatment at any other establishment. I can't wait to go again! Thank you to everyone there that helped make my night so much better!! Don't hesitate to go to District!!!! Go and show respect and you'll have a...

As one of Google's top ten reviewers, I take pride in sharing my experiences and providing detailed insights. District Nightclub recently played host to the legendary Paul Van Dyk, delivering an unforgettable night that solidified its reputation as one of the top venues in the area. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted by a vibrant atmosphere and super friendly staff who are always ready to enhance your experience, provided you're there for the right reasons.
My visit coincided with my birthday, and I can confidently say it was one of the best nights out I've had in a long time. The venue's ambiance, coupled with the electrifying performance by Paul Van Dyk, made it a night to remember. District Nightclub certainly surpasses the experience offered by Belive Music Hall, making it a must-visit for any music enthusiast.
However, there are a few areas where District could improve. The private areas take up a significant portion of the space, and the walkway behind the dance floors could be pushed back to create more room for dancing. Dance music is all about allowing people to move freely and express themselves, which was sometimes challenging due to the limited space on the main dance floor.
To truly enjoy the music, I found myself moving up to the VIP area behind the stage, where there was more room to dance. However, the sound system in this area could use an upgrade. Investing in a better sound system behind the main DJ booth on the upper level would greatly enhance the overall experience for those in the VIP section.
Despite these minor setbacks, District Nightclub remains a fantastic venue with a lot to offer. With a few adjustments, it has the potential to become an even more attractive destination for dance music lovers. If you're looking for a great night out with world-class DJs and an energetic crowd, District Nightclub should definitely be on your list.
