Two young girls were running the business. They're not practicing clean/safe and cross-contamination using the same gloves to answer the phone plug in their cell phones using the register and cooking the funnel cakes. We ordered a funnel cake and fried Oreos. Everything was dried out and stale. I was so upset . Please keep the funnel cake mix in a cool area, change the grease. 🎼Sweet Thangs🎼 Yes indeed. Rough week and happened upon this gem! Sweet Thangs Carnival Eats. My heart was set on a banana split, and after checking the menu, I was already planning my next 4 visits. Y'all...it did not disappoint. 💖 My order was called. I looked over and was WOW... WOW... Omgoodness WOW. I approached the counter to confirm really mine.
I opted for the traditional banana split. The aromatics were spot on. A feast for all senses. Toppings were just right, maybe a bit more caramel sauce, fresh pineapples, and the bananas were firm holding their own. The best surprise stop in quite a while. My granddaughter loves Italian Ice or shaved ice, as it's called in the carnival food world, and so I was searching for somewhere on my side of town to get it, as most seemed to be in other parts of the city, requiring a lot of driving. I found this place fairly close to me and it did not disappoint. Granddaughter got her shaved ice, other granddaughter got the fried Oreos, and I got Nachos with chili and cheese. All items were tasty and did not take the two young people long to prepare.
On a side note, the young lady greeted us as we entered, and that's always a good thing from a customer service standpoint.
