Westside Pizzeria + Bar — Restaurant in Atlanta

Just wanted to share my experience at this pizza place. We dined there on January 2nd. Upon arrival, we were told to sir anywhere. We took our seats in a booth. Our server started as a female. But she was the bartender and gave another young man our table. The young man brought our orders to our table. I decided I wanted another drink. The server was taking/discussing the orders with another table. So I had my had up , to which he never acknowledged. So he started to walk away from the table and I said excuse me. He turned around cam to our table and Statrted to lecture me about being rude, because he was taking another customer's order. I told him you will not lecture me about rudeness. Because number one i.was never rude. The conversation went on, but I think as readers you understand what was going on. Furthermore, I am a 76 year old black female. That was the most disrespectful encounter I have ever witnessed in a restaurant. Therefore, I will never frequent that restaurant again. I have not spoken to management. I plan to address this with them one day next week. I had to calm down before I had the conversation with management and corporate. Oops! I forgot to say, he came back and told Tha he would not be bringing the drink I ordered and he refuses to serve me and that is his right. This came from a young man who may or may not be 21. I was flabbergasted at behavior toward a customer. This type of service is outrageous and embarrassing to me as a customer. Again, I will never go to that pizza place again, never. I would never encourage anyone not to go, but you...

This place is a breeding ground for racism. I know to many who benefit from this behavior this comment is trivial but to the well groomed/nurtured humans, warning. I am so takened back by the experience that I am scrambling to put it into words. If being honest it's an indescribable feeling. The part that is most disturbing is my kids witnessed and understood the situation so much so that they said mom let's just leave. Public notice: your skin tone in no way makes me/us inferior to you nor excuse your ignorance. Thank God that He alone is best at leveling the playing field. May God heal your hating heart at some point on your journey through Earth so that you will be able to experience true living at some point. Never should you as an establishment ever condone such behavior among your employees or circle of life. Shout out to the patron that left his meal to check on my family and I as I stood outside in shock at what had just occured. Even offering to pay for our meal but I refuse to allow my babies to see me support an organization financially who's definitely comfortable with not being good humans. I saw this place and the food looked GREAT so I made it a mission to stop by and grab a bite. The flavor of the food though, I'm very disappointed those photogenic wings are very deceptive. I ordered the golden wings for example & the mustard based bbq sauce they used had a very overpowering mustard flavor anyone who is aware mustard can taste quite bitter when a sweet element has not been added more honey was necessary! The fries were just plain bad guys they were not fresh almost had an odd after taste I could almost taste a hint cigarette flavor so I’m assuming someone who like cooks the food smokes because I don’t! Now on to the service there was a guy, I did not get his name but he was more focused on the gentleman who were there for the game he didn’t make me feel like this is an all inclusive atmosphere. The gentleman was very cold, personality wise and seemed more focused on the job then connecting with the people who chose to spend there money and time at this establishment. Disappointed it sucks because I live in the area and when I was in the mood for fatty food, I could of easily turned from a visitor to a regular sorry guys.
