Terrible from start to finish. My daughter orders a chicken sandwich with fries, a $2.50 substitute for fries. They bring out her sandwich with a side salad. No big deal tell the waitress [ who left in the middle of serving our table, left us basically to fend for ourselfs] she said I'm sorry since the food already came out I'll just bring you a side of fries. I order a chicken burrito with the rice and beans on the side. I just didn't want a burrito with rice and beans on it. So I said if they can't put the rice and beans on the side, just leave the rice and beans off. Waitress says that's not a problem; we'll put it on the side. When they bring out my burrito, it has rice and beans on it. They also bring out a side of rice and a side of beans. Which I didn't want to wait 20 more minutes for another burrito, so I eat what they brought out. We get the check they charge for the side of fries, and on top of it, charge the 2.50 to substitute the side salad for fries. They literally tell us, since we brought the food out, we can't take it back, so we have to charge you for the fries. And charge for the substitute of fries because that's what you wanted. There was nothing we could do because they already ran my daughter's card, which she brought both me and her grandfather out for Father's Day. A college student at Monmouth University working part-time. You want to talk about having no clue about running a restaurant; they couldn't run a shoe shine stand. Plus, the fact we live in town eat there often and would continue to eat there. The food is OK but not worth the hassle or head ache. Keep away. El Ranchro in Leonardo is a much...

Read moreAlright, since you replied, I’ll clarify: I appreciate your offer of a free salad, and to talk face to face. BUT, it’s not about asking for a complimentary salad. It’s not about the money- it’s the experience. Dude, if I wanted chicken and ribs, I would go to Sazon and get two huge platters for $25. (and it would come with rice and beans and plantains) and I would feel satisfied. You can’t even throw 1 special thing on a plate? Not a single nacho? Not a garnish of cilantro? A lime? What are you? Table cloth place with basic scaled down boring Mexican cuisine? Or is it conceptual? What am I missing? Baffled by these 5 star reviews. Maybe they’re not for the dinner menu? Ok food but for a $35+ chicken entree they should consider adding some sides. Admittedly I’m no expert on Mexican Cuisine, but go the extra step- just .75 cents worth of veggies on the plate would do so much. Dinner should be fun and exciting- put some chips and salsa on the table at a minimum. We chose to come to your place because of the glowing reviews. There is nothing special here. $95 for a plate with chicken and some sauce and a plate with some ribs and a few average pickled veggies. If you can’t afford to give a free little salad or some rice, consider a different business model. And about adding a service fee for credit cards- That’s YOUR cost of business. Again we chose YOU- give us a reason...
