Cilantro heads up: they put cilantro in their salads. They put cilantro in their coleslaw. It is labeled, but I missed this because I was overwhelmed on my first trip. Neurodivergent heads up: you order like you're at subway. I found it overwhelming with the number of choices and ingredients. Look up the menu and make a plan before arriving. They don't play music, the lighting was low and it was very quiet. Food: it tasted fine, but I was eating around cilantro. Also, when assembling my girlfriends bowl, they put the wrong salad on it, and instead of starting over they scooped it out with their hand. This left bits of the wrong item in the bowl. The rootbeer is awful. Service: the people working here did not seem to give one single care about the customers or the restaurant. We were almost the only people there (me, my gf, and one other individual ) but they just...Were annoyed with me and my questions (because again, it was my first time). The tables were dirty. The drinks were running low.

I had a lovely business lunch at 2941 Street Food with my husband, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a steady pace that allowed us to enjoy our food without feeling rushed. It wasn't overly busy, which added to the comfortable experience. I went for the Honest Bowl with half steak, half chicken, yellow rice, and two scoops of their signature hummus. The bowl was flavorful, hearty, and exactly what I needed for a midday meal. I was pleasantly surprised to find they had canned Tractor lemonade – such a great touch! That lemonade was the perfect refreshing drink to accompany my meal. 😍 The staff was fantastic, treating us with kindness and attentiveness, making sure we had everything we needed. I’d definitely recommend 2941 Street Food to anyone in the Auburn Hills area looking for delicious Mediterranean food and excellent service. It’s a spot I’ll be coming back to!

Easy to find, easy access. Reasonably straightforward, if somewhat daunting to the neophyte, ordering process. Lot of choices and a lot of steps. But it gets easier when you hit the counter. The sandwich is huge! Easily near a foot long. And very well stuffed. Eating it as if it were a typical sandwich is not happening. You'll need a fork/spoon for the excess. That said, it was 😋 delicious! The bigger tables - and their benches - are bolted to the floor. Immovable. The smaller tables around the perimeter use logs - yes, actual polished logs - as seats. Definitely different. The staff is professional, focused if not exactly engaging or friendly. It's an assembly line, folks. The music is fairly quiet especially compared to the high volume of ambient noise. Just an undecipherable quiet-ish thumping that seems to be on a loop of about 30 seconds with a short pause before restarting.

June 2025 Update:

While I'd love to say that there's been some improvements in the condition of the restaurant, unfortunately, it has actually continued to degrade. There are some good staff members working there. The food is still good. Prices have jumped (as expected) and they've resorted to up-charges on things that used to be included, yet the restaurant itself is getting more shady.

Curing posters on the wall, grill and deep fryer are both very rough looking and right out in front for customers to see as they're building their meal. Stickers over portions of the menu, walls are in need of cleaning, patching and paint, upholstery falling apart. Soda machine is about half non-functioning and needs much cleaning. Pallett ceiling design needs cleaning, or better yet, replacement, etc.

It's getting hard to rationalize paying $15 for a small bowel of food then struggle to find the least gross place to sit in the restaurant to eat.

Really is disappointing as the restaurant concept, food, and menu is so good.

Really hope it turns around. . .

Original Review: (2023) Good food but the restaurant is getting a bit run down already. The grills are very much in need of cleaning and are missing all of the burner knobs, soda machine is mostly nonfunctional, tables are grungy, all of the spices are gone from the shelves.

Don't known if it's staffing issues, management problems, or the restaurant is simply circling the drain.

I hope it course corrects. They do have...

I've been to the Rochester Hills location 10 times (no, literally), so of course I was at this location the first day it opened.

This one is smaller than the RH one, but it has a bar and it's a mile away from my apartment, so size really doesn't matter here.

What isn't smaller, however, is the menu. New options such as Habibi's Nachos sound promising, and I'm pretty sure the vegetable arook has made it's appearance as an additional protein option for vegetarians (but they contain egg, so not vegan).

The food is as incredible as ever, and in my usual falafel bowl the man making my bowl added in some of their "Baghdad Kimchi," which I'll be asking for every single time now. It's not as funky as traditional kimchi, which is great for me, and their Baghdad spice mix is wonderful.

Get the kimchi, get the Blaze sauce -- the hot sauce that's so good they had to remove it from its original place at the tables because people were stealing it -- get literally anything because you surely won't be disappointed.

Updating: they've also added their Vegetable Arook as a vegetarian protein option for bowls/samoon sandwiches, and I'd highly recommend it. I've had it in both the mini bowl and the samoon sandwich, and it's nicely seasoned and full of veggies. There is a 5-6 minute wait as they're cooked to order, but...

Ever since discovering this restaurant a year ago, I have always enjoyed eating there. The food is delicious, healthy, and reasonably priced. Just recently though, I had a particularly fantastic experience. In preparation for a Tuesday staff lunch, I asked my assistant to call this location on Monday and place a catering order for six people. He did so, but when I arrived at the scheduled time on Tuesday, they had no record of the order. I wondered if perhaps he had contacted the other nearby location by mistake, but after calling, they had no record of an order either. Mike, the catering manager at the Auburn Hills location, immediately sprang into action and put together a great bundle for us off the top of his head that included everything we needed. He even threw in a few extras for the "trouble" which may not even have been their fault. Despite all this happening just as the lunch rush was starting, I was in and out in under 15 minutes and made it back to work right on time for the lunch! Many thanks to Mike and his team for going above and beyond to help me out and offering such stellar service! We will absolutely continue to call this location in the future for our...
