So… my coworkers and I go here every few weeks for some beers. The service and food are always (except for one time prior to this) top notch. Tonight (12/17/2024), however, has marked the end of my patronage here. After years of coming here after our company Christmas party, as usual, we went to Twin Peaks in Auburn Hills. We walk in, and it is packed. No worries, service is going to be slow. We understand. We wait 15 minutes for our first beer and round of shots. That’s understandable. We continue having a great time with each other. Then, shift change. We get a new waitress, and man I wish I knew her name, but she never introduced herself. Instead, we were met with eye rolling, short responses as if we were an inconvenience, and other general entitlement issues. A short time later (roughly 2 hours go by), most of the crowd had gone, and yet we still have to flag her down and deal with the feeling that we’re just a nuisance to her Friday night vibes. At this point there’s 5 of us. Finally, it’s time to get our bills. I got charged for things that weren’t even mine. I paid anyways, due to it being Christmas time. I tipped $5 on a $100 bill, due to the general attitude and service that we received. I am usually a 20% tipper. It takes a lot to get less than that from me. But, tipping should be for service that went above and beyond. It’s not for simply doing your job. It is especially not for people that did their job with an attitude. The waitress proceeds to come over and talk shit to me in front of my coworkers, then runs off before I can solve the issue with her. This was beyond unprofessional and disrespectful, so I followed her to her table and asked her what the problem was, and explained this attitude is why she got a bad tip in the first place. She didn’t have an answer and was clearly not prepared to be confronted about it. Genuinely upset with this interaction, I left. Then, because it was not sitting right with me, I went back to take my tip off completely. If my tip is not good enough for you, then you don’t deserve any tip at all from me. The manager proceeds to tell me that I already paid my bill, yet anyone with a bank account knows that it is not processed that quickly. At first I was going to dispute the charge, but ultimately decided it’s not worth the hassle. Instead, I will not be going back here, after years of coming, and I will not be shy in telling people how this establishment is okay with their staff harassing customers over tips that they deem is not enough.
Afterwards, one of my friends that decided to stay tells me that they messed up his bill after as well. He would have tried to fix it but after seeing how they handled my case, he just decided he will not continue...
Read moreWe visited the Twin Peaks location in Auburn Hills after my 14 yr old nephew’s baseball tournament. We were seated at a table near the bar. After placing our app order, we were approached by a very drunk patron that insisted on ordering shots of tequila for us (and a shot of water for my nephew) to celebrate his win. We turned him down several times because he was so intoxicated and did not want to take advantage of his altered mental status. Finally, my brother said ok just to get it over with-mind you we were not ordering drinks. The server and bartender were also aware of his persistence and also tried to dissuade him. We said thank you and proceeded to try to order. The server told him “ok now go back to your seat”. He did but within 5 minutes came back and proceeded to make advances on sister in law and myself. My brother tried to joke it off and was polite but asked him to go back to his seat. He continued to try to proposition us and it was to the point he was obvious and was drawing attention from his group, other tables and even the wait staff and manager. Other than asking him to take his seat, nothing was done to stop him from intruding on our dinner. They continued to serve him and other than hover near our table, the manager did nothing. It got to the point that he was so intoxicated and in our face that we were unable to eat and my brother finally said “listen, we are trying to eat and you are disrespecting my wife and sister. You need to sit down or they are going to kick you out of here”. he went back to his seat behind us but then returned when the manager walked away. He got back up and walked over to me and my brother finally said “you need to sit down or I am going to sit you down. you are ruining our dinner and I am not going to tolerate your disrespect to my wife and sister!” We ended up paying , leaving and not finishing our meals because I did not want an altercation between this man and my brother.
I don’t get to have dinner with my family very often. I was extremely upset that Twin Peaks would continue to serve a person this blatantly intoxicated and infringe on another party’s meal. The manager was aware of this man’s behavior and did nothing. We were not offered to change tables and this man and his party should have been removed from the premises. They should consider themselves fortunate that I am only writing a negative review. If this kind of behavior is condoned, I foresee a negative impact on their liquor license and the staff overserving these...
Read moreI'm going to give this 1 star and I will tell you why now, however since we did speak with the manager after our experience, I will update the review upon the next time I go there to give them a fair shot and opportunity for me to change it/update it/delete it.
My husband and I ordered carryout from Twin Peaks in A Hills around 10pm. 2 weeks ago. We called this restaurant a minimum of 10 times trying to place an order, every single time no one answered, and it then went to a voice-mail of static, and the phone would hang up. We decided to go on Doordash and place the order as a pickup. We ordered 3 appetizers, 2 entrees, and a dessert. It took about 20 minutes for the food to be ready. We drive up there, we arrive, and my husband goes inside to pick up the food. The carryout waitress told him they were out of one of the drinks and that they were out of mashed potatoes. Asked if we would we like something diff, so we got a diff side. He ended up coming back out to the car and waited with a buzzer. Buzzer never rang. 35 minutes later, I went inside to see what's going on and stood at the bar for around 6 to 8 minutes before 1 of 4 blonde bartenders even noticed me. Finally, the food was sitting and waiting, I got the stuff, and we left. We got home, 2 appetizers missing, dessert missing, steak was well done when we ordered rare, 2 mashed potatoes were suppose to be vegetables, we only received 1 of the 2, and the salad entree was to have chicken it literally had 3 small skinny straps of grilled chicken and the best part NO DRESSING. Are you serious now? I was so mad that we waited so long for food that the majority of it was beyond cold, half of the order missing, terrible service, and just utter disappointing after spending $100.00 for 2 people.
My husband and I were in the area the next day and decided to stop by because AGAIN no one answered the phone, and it does the weird static voice-mail thing. The manager was kind, apologized, and said they were short staffed with only 2 cooks on a Monday evening, he gave us a full refund for rhe food and told us to come next time and he would take care of us.
We were happy with how kind and understanding the manager was, and also how friendly and assisting he was. We are going to try and go and dine in, and I will update this review . Hopefully, if it's better than last time, delete...
