OK, here it goes. They asked for it. First, I am not one to leave bad reviews. I like acknowledging people and businesses who deserve it. I pretty much keep my mouth shut online when it's negative. Like I once read, a business' worst customer is the unhappy one that just walks away and never comes back and shares their experience with everyone. However, I am inclined to make an exception here. After the blizzard of '24 in April in the northeast, we were hankerin' for some KFC. We had finally got our power back after 3 1/2 days. On our way there, we passed some line workers or tree workers. We really felt bad for what they have to go through in times like this. While most I am sure appreciate what they do, I'm sure there are some who just want to curse them because some how it's their fault a big storm put power out for 350.000 plus people. We slowed right down going by out of respect and safety. We thanked them on our way by and one of the gentlemen THANKED ME for slowing down because the guy before me flew by and almost hit him! So my wife and I started talking about how nice it would be to by some food for them too. So we did just that to show our appreciation and to hopefully put a smile on their faces. So we paid for our meal first. Then we bought them a bucket meal as well. I asked them to please give us some napkins, utensils, and cups (we had to buy soda and plates somewhere else). I thought the bill sounded high, but we were in a hurry to get back to the crew. We were excited! In reviewing my receipts today, I discovered I was charged just under $18.00 for 6 empty cups. I said to myself...self, they obviously charged you for 6 sodas. So I thought this will be a sure refund of some sort. WRONG! The gentleman there told me there was no other way to bill me for the cups. They had to run them through as sodas. YOU MUST BE JOKING! I replied that it would have been nice to know that up front. I would have got them elsewhere. I could have bought dozens for that price at Wally World! I told him he should tell everyone there to warn customers up front should this ever happen again. He said he would post a note. So no refund! But I think the worse part of the whole thing is that they knew what we were doing and why. We spent an additional $51.00. And that's fine. We wanted to. That's not the point. The point is they could have at least donated the cups, napkins, and plastic utensils. They were likely without power too for a time. Probably even appreciated it when it came back on. So they not only didn't donate, they charged us for 6 full sodas and refused to make it right when I returned there today. Shame on this business. Shame on me for not checking my receipt right there and then, but we were anxious to get back to the crew. Obviously, I will never go back there again. Chicken was overcooked anyway. And I had to repeat my requests several times, and it still wasn't accurate. Sorry for the long windedness, but I really needed to release this frustration. I hope this review haunts them every time the power...
Read moreTo say this location is a disaster is an understatement. I have seen countries hit by a Tsunami who have offered better service and quality of food than this location. I agree with several other reviews that the General Manager of this location does not give a ** and KFC should fire them immediately and put someone in that cares about the location and its staff.
I walked in at 7pm at night which is typically a good time to hit a food place on Center street as the dinner rush should have settled down. I waited 15 minutes to place an order (we were hungry and the kids wanted KFC). While waiting to place my order a lady walks in asking if anyone is working the drive thru as she was sitting there for 5 minutes and no one acknowledged her.
We waited 65 minutes to receive an 8-piece meal. There were 7 other orders in front of us some of which were KFC employees who got preferential treatment when they ordered after some of us. Not one staff member came to the front to inform us of why it was taking so long or even to apologize for the wait. Staff was replacing food items in the wells and after removing plastic wrap would just throw it on the floor instead of the can. There was a lot of original recipe sitting in the warmer, but apparently everyone ordered extra crispy. there was two staff who appears to be working their butt off, but the front staff stood around at times until they were told to help out.
Several orders were missing items when the customer's number was called. We all checked our bags and each time at least 2 items were missing even after the looked at the monitor several times and checked the bag.
This location just doesn't care and it's sad because this KFC used to have lines onto Center street because you could order and be back on the road in under 5 minutes. Now the staff doesn't care, the GM obviously doesn't care and when I offered feedback through their corporate site, I was offered a $5 coupon and a one sentence standard apology. Really KFC? Do you care that little about your customers that you give them a coupon that has a 30 days expiration date and not even enough for the series of complaints I offered with detail info that could be verified on camera? Last time I will ever step foot into...
Read moreYOUR STAFF IS INCREDIBLE! 🥹 Food is great as always, but something significant and out of the ordinary happened on my visit with my family. While we were eating our lunch inside the restaurant, my grandmother was suffering from diabetic shock, or a minor stroke, and we were trying to figure out how to handle the situation. My dad asked one of the girls behind the counter for help with calling 911 while he was on the phone with his sister (we were trying to get grandma's PW to unlock her phone so we could see if it was blood sugar related- yes there's an app that reads her levels). A customer at the counter was in the middle of placing an order and he became irate that my dad was asking for help in calling 911, instead of using his own phone. He thought it was rude and inconsiderate that he was asking a staff member to stop what they were doing to help. There was a lot of shouting back and forth, so one of the other girls came out to help him finish his order while the other girl was helping us with 911. She even helped in getting us some sugary options to get her levels back where they needed to be... Grandma is fine, but I just wanted to let you know how amazing it was to see your staff pull together and help in a situation that they don't experience everyday, and recognize that helping a human life takes priority. Thank you so much for all your help with this, team! 🙏 Special shout-out to Casey (or was it Kelsey I am so sorry!) and Cameron. I believe they were the 2 girls helping with the irate man yelling back and forth at us so he can place his order while we were trying to get help for our 84-year old grandmother. 💪
(P.S. Finished the food up at home, chicken was very crispy and delicious, fries OMG, mac and cheese YUM, she LOVED the...
