Hampton Inn Lewiston-Auburn — Hotel in Lewiston

It is probably just my bad luck.. The room I got while generally clean was not clean enough for my preference there were watermarks all over the surfaces and water taps. The walls had several scratches and dings. No bathtub to relax after my drive. The provided hair conditioner was empty. There was no trash can in the main room. There was noise almost all night from either inside the hotel from renovations or the traffic outside. Also sounds like leaky faucets from above the mirror in the bathroom. The bed was lumpy and felt like I was sleeping in other people's body indentions. The pillows were okay but I needed all four to get close to comfort. So had anyone has been traveling with me they'd been out of luck.The sheet wasn't long enough to cover up over my shoulders which would have been great considering the air conditioner blew DIRECTLY on me every time it kicked on. However, without the AC it was too hot. Staff seemed, friendly, and basically average for hotel staff, knowledgeable about things they should be as attendants. I was upset at check in because they were going to try to charge my card vs the one the company used to book the room. They stated they needed something in writing so they could charge the company card... That was a headache, why would anyone NOT use or feel authorized to charge the card used to book the room? Anyways I think it was fixed. Basic rooms. Nothing terrible, nothing fancy. When considering the price per night weighed against its short comings though- There was nothing to make this hotel stand out or make me stay there any more than comparable area hotels next time I'm in the area. Did not sleep well at all but that might have been issues within my room. Maybe other rooms...

Nice hotel. Lovely lobby with friendly staff at the desk and the kitchen. This is our 2nd time here. We stayed two nights this time. The maids apparently don't know how to smile, nod or say hello. The room was nice enough and the maids did a really nice job cleaning. Room is a bit small but still workable. Small fridge and microwave. Table/desk. Iron & board. Coffee in room. Beds are comfortable and no bugs. Yes I checked. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic. Elevators had a funky smell the entire time and after 2 days when we went to check out, we noticed instantly they had been vacuumed. Before they were pretty messy. The breakfast is hot with many choices. And different choices both mornings. Nice seating area as well. Ladies working the kitchen were very friendly. But could use an assistant maybe if even to wipe tables and sweep floors during service. Parking lot is a lil sketchy. Does not feel safe if you can't park by the building and there isn't many spots. Nice restaurants within walking distance but again, sketchy area. Pool was a saltwater pool. Dirty towels on the floor and on chairs when we went in. No one was there. Globs of hair floating around the pool and stuck to the rim. The bottom needed vacuumed are well. Looked as tho someone went outside barefoot then came right back into the pool bringing pebbles with then. Would we stay there again, well, this was our 2nd time at this location so yes. We can over look the not so great stuff...

Had an amazing time here at the Hampton Inn in Lewiston. The room we had was spacious, up to date, extremely clean and the beds were comfortable. In the morning we had two spectacular breakfasts - waffle station, eggs, bacon and sausage, bagels, croissants, pastries, cereals, coffee and juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal - no lack of choices! My kids enjoyed the pool, clean and well lit and plenty of towels and seating.

The staff is extremely friendly. From the kitchen staff that kept the breakfast stocked, dining area clean, and took time to chat with every one as they did both - to the front desk staff who always had nice words to say when they saw us. One gentleman in particular answered every question without hesitation (what time are the fireworks, are they close by? Do you have a laundry room, where's the ice, anywhere good to eat locally? Do they have delivery? etc) and never seemed bothered at all. We went on a busy weekend (Moxie festival!) and we felt like the only ones here, the attention and service given was that great.

I actually want to find reasons to come back to stay here it was such a great experience. The town of Lewiston looks like it has a lot to offer and there's always next year's Moxie festival ;)
