Let me begin by saying the service is wonderful. My review in no way reflects the workers there. Itās just the āfoodā. My goodness me. I guess up north thatās considered Mexican, but Iām from the south, and Taco Bell is better than that. Their queso, disgusting. Itās basically that orange stuff you get in a jar by Tostinoās, except somehow worse. And they charge you $10 for it. I know thereās a $4 option, and thatās what I ordered, but they brought out the $10 one instead.. Their salsa is just canned tomatoes with a taco seasoning packet. Thatās not salsa! You donāt put cumin in salsa! For my entree I ordered the shrimp appetizer which was 5 shrimp on a thinly spread out bed of lettuce and onions and that was $14.. We ordered virgin strawberry daiquiris and it was just slightly sweetened strawberry lemonade. Holy moly lol. And the worst part, their chips arenāt gluten free. Every Mexican restaurant Iāve been to there chips are gluten free because theyāre corn chips..and I didnāt see any signs on the menu stating otherwise. Honestly even if it was on the menu I wouldnāt have seen it. It was SO DARK my friend and I had to use our phone flashlights to see our menus. In broad daylight lol. Needless to say, I have celiac disease and I got a good dose of gluten and paid immensely for it, and will continue to pay for the next few weeks until it leaves my system. If you love authentic Mexican food, or even imitation Mexican food, this place isnāt for you. If you love Chiliās, then maybe this place is more your speed. But Iām sorry, itās...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCan't rate anything except the service as we didn't eat. My 2 friends and I went there this evening (02/10/24) and were sitting there for 20 minutes being ignored by the wait staff while everyone who was seated after us got service. I notice many of the wait staff look at us, one even rolled her eyes at us. Feel that we were totally profiled by the wait staff as I believe they didn't see dollar signs when they looked at us. (I have to wear sweats as I have a leg brace and am on crutches and one of my friends had a big scraggly beard). However, despite our looks we are all financially stable and we tip at a 25% or better rate for good/great service (which the wait staff at Margaritas will now never find out). The manager offered what I consider feeble apologies and never took our names or tried to rectify the situation at all. Very disappointed as I hadn't been to Margaritas in a long time and was looking forward to the food. Anyway, I sincerely hope this review will reach the right people and that management or owners can hopefully make sure no other patrons have to deal with this type of awful service. David...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI loved the chairs and tables! They look like they are carved and decorated/painted with fish and other things. If you are looking for authentic Mexican, then you'll need to look elsewhere. My family and I got right in and were able to be seated immediately. The nachos are amazing! We had them as an app but you could make them a meal and be satisfied. I would definitely come back over and over for them! I had tacos, and all I can say is they lacked. It was basically just a fried fish with a little bit of some sort of sauce with a small piece of avocado and inserted in a tortilla. They do give salsa and chips pre-meal. Chips were great, but the salsa was only ok. I've had better salsa from a lot of non-authentic Mexican restaurants, so I know they can do better. I tasted my sister's rice and it was bland, although I will say most Mexican restaurants get lazy with the rice and taste bland as well. My dad got beef in his taco bowl and said he had to search to find any beef. Our server was friendly and overall my family enjoyed the restaurant. Again, I would definitely go back just...
